Duke vs. Syracuse Details
The fifth-ranked Blue Devils travel to take on Syracuse Sunday at 4 p.m., in the JMA Wireless Dome. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra and can be found on the ESPN app.
The Opening Faceoff
- Duke, 4-1 on the year, concludes a two-game road swing at Syracuse Sunday afternoon. The Blue Devils have never beaten the Orange in Syracuse with losses in 1994, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022.
- Syracuse enters the weekend with a 3-2 record following a 19-13 loss to North Carolina in its ACC opener. The Orange have lost two straight, also falling to Maryland, 15-12, after opening the year with three wins.

- The Blue Devils last defeated Syracuse in a 15-14 thriller in 2021. Mike Adler made a last second save to ice the victory. In 2022, the Orange jumped ahead 7-1 and held off Duke's comeback effort in a 14-10 victory.

- Syracuse opened its ACC slate last weekend, hosting North Carolina. The Tar Heels held off an Orange comeback in a 19-13 victory in the JMA Wireless Dome. North Carolina used an 8-1 run over the span of just over 15 minutes to break open a tight game.
- Freshman Joey Spallina headlines the offense with 15 goals and five assists for 20 points, while Owen Hiltz has eight goals and 10 assists after missing last season to injury. Alex Simmons, a graduate student transfer from Denver, has five goals and nine assists.
