DURHAM – The No. 15 Duke women's lacrosse team will welcome No. 16 Yale to Koskinen Stadium Tuesday evening for non-conference action.
Opening draw is set for 7 p.m., on ACC Network with Jay Alter and Sheehan Stanwick Burch on the call.
LAST TIME OUT
- Clemson's Sofia Chepenik tallied the game-winning goal to push Clemson past No. 13 Duke, 11-10, Saturday afternoon at Riggs Field.
- Chepenik led the Tigers (7-2, 1-2 ACC) with four goals, including the equalizer and game winner, while goalie Emily Lamparter collected 11 saves in the cage.
- Offensively, Duke (4-3, 0-3 ACC) was led by Caroline DeBellis and Katie DeSimone with three points each as DeBellis notched her 100th career point.
- The Blue Devils have gone 1-3 since starting the season 3-0.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
- Yale comes into Tuesday's contest ranked No. 16 nationally and is 4-2 overall. The Bulldogs most recently dropped an 11-10 overtime contest at UConn.
- Offensively, the Bulldogs are led by Jenna Collignon with 25 points from 21 goals and four assists, followed by Olivia Penoyer (16pts), Fallon Vaughn (11pts) and Bella Saviano (10pts). Vaughn also owns 14 draw controls, 11 caused turnovers and nine ground balls as an all-around midfielder.
- Goalie Clare Boone has seen action in all six games with over 300 minutes accumulated. She sports an 8.80 GAA and a .403 save percentage in the cage.
OVER TWO DECADES
- Duke and Yale meet for just the fifth time in program history and the first time in over two decades.
- The two programs met for four consecutive years (1999-02) with the all-time series tied up at 2-2. Duke is 1-0 in Durham.
