DURHAM – Duke Baseball continues their 18-game home stand on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Blue Devils (5-2) host No. 9 East Carolina (5-1) with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.
Duke enters the week after a historic sweep of Baylor, while ECU defeated North Carolina on Friday and Sunday.

- Duke Baseball completed a historic sweep of Baylor at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, improving to 5-2 on the season. Duke outscored the Bears 52-7 over the three-game series, collecting 47 hits throughout the weekend. The 52 runs are the most scored against an opponent in a three-game series in program history and the 47 hits tallied were the most in a three-game series as well.
- Graduate student Damon Lux had himself a week for the Blue Devils, finishing 7-for-17 at the plate (.412) with a home run and nine RBI. Lux posted a career-high six RBI in Saturday's 22-3 victory over Baylor.
- The Blue Devils have started the 2023 campaign hot, scoring 80 runs following last weekend. Duke ranks 10th nationally in runs scored and are third in the ACC behind Wake Forest (122) and Virginia (89). The Blue Devils have also fanned 96 batters on the pitching side. The mark is seventh in the country and is third in the ACC behind Wake Forest (126) and Miami (99).
- Sophomore righty Fran Oschell III produced his first career win on Sunday, working 1.2 innings of relief and allowing two hits. Oschell III struck out four batters and shutdown the Baylor threat in the eighth in conjunction with freshman James Tallon who earned his second career save with four-straight strikeouts.
- Duke pitching is allowing teams to post just a .206 average at the plate this season, third lowest in the league.
