Gameday Details
- Saturday's game between Duke and Penn will be played on Adams Field at Penn Park. Faceoff is set for 1 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+. Fans must have an ESPN+ subscription to watch, which is good for all of the events on the platform.
- Parking is available in the Penn Park Lot. GPS coordinates of the lot are 39.95129,- 75.185232.
The Opening Faceoff
- Duke starts a two-game road swing at Penn Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils have never beaten the Quakers on their home field, going 0-3 with losses in 2011, 2013 and 2018.
- Penn is coming off a solid 9-7 victory over No. 8 Georgetown Saturday in Washington D.C. The win pushed the Quakers to No. 8 in the latest USILA poll.
- The attack unit of Andrew McAdorey, Brennan O'Neill and Dyson Williams have paced the Blue Devils through four games. The trio has combined for 58 of the team's 99 points with all three having at least 17 points to their names.
- Duke's defense has been solid overall, holding teams to just 35.0 shots per game and to 10.25 goals per game. The Blue Devils have allowed just two man-up goals on 18 man-down situations for a .889 success rate.
- Graduate student transfer William Helm is solid in the cage, averaging 10.50 saves per game and sporting a .538 save percentage. Penn goaltender Emmet Carroll made 18 saves in his sixth career game and debut in 2023.
- Junior faceoff specialist Jake Naso sports a .630 win percentage at the dot to rank 17th nationally. He has taken the most faceoffs of any draw man in the country, edging Syracuse's Johnny Richiusa by four.

About Penn
- Penn opened its 2023 campaign on a high note, beating No. 8 Georgetown, 9-7. The victory pushed the Quakers to No. 8 in the USILA rankings this week.
- The Quakers were voted to finish fourth in the Ivy League behind Cornell, Princeton and Yale. Sam Handley is back to headline the attack, garnering a nod from USA Lacrosse Magazine as the Preseason Player of the Year. Handley had a goal and an assist in the season-opening win. Junior Cam Rubin led all scorers against the Hoyas with four goals.
- Chris Arceri fills the hole left by Jamie Zusi at the faceoff position. Zusi joined the Blue Devils as a graduate student transfer. Arceri went 11-of-20 at the dot against the Hoyas and has taken just 117 faceoffs in his career. He was 33-of-91 last season with 19 ground balls.
- In goal, Emmett Carroll made his 2023 debut and had 18 saves to lead Penn past Georgetown for his first career win. Carroll has played just 141 minutes in his career.
Series History
¡ Duke meets Penn for the 13th time and for the fourth time since 2018. The Blue Devils are 5-7 all-time against the Quakers and 0-3 in Philadelphia. Penn has won three of the past four, including an overtime victory at a neutral site last year.
¡ Duke's last win over Penn was a 17-7 triumph in Durham in 2019. The Blue Devils are averaging 10.4 goals per game against the Quakers since 2010. Duke last faced Penn in Philadelphia in 2018, a 10-9 setback.
Top-10 battle Awaits
¡ For the second time in the previous 12 meetings, Duke and Penn meet as top-10 teams. In 2020, Duke was ranked fifth and Penn seventh. The Quakers won the game, 14-11, in Charlotte.

Coming In Clutch
- Junior Brennan O'Neill stepped up in a big way against Denver, scoring the game-tying and game-winning goals in the overtime thriller. He had a hand in Duke's final three goals as the Blue Devils outscored the Pioneers 3-1 in the final three minutes of the overall game.
- Jake Naso also had a monster fourth quarter, winning seven of the eight faceoffs, including the final one in regulation and drawing the penalty.
- Over the course of Naso's two-plus seasons at the faceoff dot, he is 39-23 (.629) in the fourth quarter in games decided by two or fewer goals. He is 4-0 in faceoffs in overtime with Duke going 3-1 in those contests.
