Megan Cooke Carcagno announced the Blue Devils' 2024 spring schedule on Thursday.
Duke kicks off the spring slate March 2 with a scrimmage against Virginia on the Rivanna Reservoir in Charlottesville, Va. The team then travels to Oak Ridge, Tenn., to compete in the 12th annual Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational March 16-17.
Closing out the month of March, the Blue Devils face Ohio State, Michigan and Virginia in the ACC/Big Ten Double Dual (March 30) in Columbus, Ohio.
Duke is back on the water April 19-20 for two days of racing at the Big Ten Invitational in Sarasota, Fla., before returning home to co-host the Lake Wheeler Invitational with North Carolina April 26-27.
The 2024 ACC Championships will be held May 17-18 on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C. Last season, the Blue Devils finished third overall in the team standings, after placing all five boats into the grand final races. The Varsity Four, Second Varsity Four and Second Varsity Eight collected silver medals, while the Varsity Eight and Third Varsity Eight took home bronze.
Following the ACC Championships, the Blue Devils look to earn their fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships held May 31-June 2 on Harsha Lake in Bethel, Ohio. In 2023, Duke saw its best finish in program history, placing 14th against a tough 22-team field with 56 points in the championship. In their four prior appearances, the Blue Devils finished 17th overall with 45 points in 2016, 16th with 47 points in 2019, 16th with 55 points in 2021 and 16th with 45 points in 2022.
