About the Game
- A top-five matchup is set for Friday night in Chapel Hill at Karen Shelton Stadium. First hit is at 6 p.m., on ACC Network.
- There is no charge for admission.Â
- It's a busy evening on North Carolina's campus, so the Rams Head Deck will not be available for general spectator parking. Fans are advised to park in one of the following lots:
 • Parking on Stadium Drive, in the Navy Field and Law Program lots, in the Raleigh Road Visitors Lot and in the Cobb Deck will be free after 5 p.m. For a campus parking map, click here.
 • Pay parking is available in the Boshamer Stadium lot for $20.

The First Hit
- Duke closes its regular season Friday at UNC. First hit is set for 6 p.m., on ACC Network. The Blue Devils are in search of their first undefeated ACC season and second ACC regular season crown. A win for either team will clinch the top seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament.
- The Blue Devils are 14-2 overall, which includes seven top-15 wins and five ACC victories. Duke is 5-0 in ACC play for the first time in program history.
- North Carolina enters the regular season finale with an 11-3 record and 4-1 mark in ACC play. The Tar Heels' ACC loss came against No. 8 Virginia last Friday.Â
- Duke and North Carolina share two of the same non-conference opponents in Liberty and Old Dominion. The Blue Devils went 2-0 in those games, while the Tar Heels were 1-1 with a double overtime setback to the Flames. Both squads lost to Virginia by a single goal.

A Top Five Matchup Awaits
- Friday night's matchup between Duke and UNC will be a top-five battle with the Blue Devils coming in at No. 2 and North Carolina at No. 4. It is the 15th time since 2000 the two teams play when ranked in the top five and the first time since 2019.
- Duke is the higher ranked team in the top-five matchup for the first time since 2017 when the second-ranked Blue Devils downed No. 5 UNC, 3-2. The Blue Devils are 3-2 when ranked higher in a top-five meeting since 2000.

- Friday's game features Duke's fifth-ranked defense against the nation's ninth-ranked offense. The Tar Heels average 3.00 goals per game, while Duke sports a 0.96 goals against average. North Carolina has scored at least three goals in eight of its 14 games and has been held to one goal only by Liberty. In the past three seasons (56 games), UNC has scored one or fewer goals just six times.
- On the defensive end for Duke, the Blue Devils have given up multiple goals in five of the 16 contests and own six shutouts to rank 10th nationally. Since allowing six goals in its opening three games (2.00 GA/gm), Duke has given up 10 in the 13 ensuing games (0.77 GA/gm). UNC was last shut out on Nov. 12, 2021 by Northwestern.
