DURHAM – The 2022 MLB Draft takes place July 17-19, 2022, and draft-eligible Blue Devils will be awaiting the life-long dream of hearing their names called during the event.
The draft will be 20 rounds and held in Los Angeles.
Schedule & Broadcast Information
The first round of the MLB draft will take place on Sunday, July 17 at 7 p.m. The first day will be broadcast live on MLB Network and ESPN for the 11th consecutive year. The second and third days of the draft can be streamed for free on MLB.com.

Day 2 (Rounds 2-10):Â July 18, 2 p.m. -- MLB.com
Day 3 (Rounds 11-20):Â July 19, 2 p.m. -- MLB.com
Beginning in 2017, the MLB added picks to the draft designed to level the competitive playing field. Round A of the competitive balance picks (selections 31-36) will be on Sunday while Round B (65-72) will take place on Monday.
Duke in the Draft:
Heading into the 2022 MLB Draft, Duke boasts 110 selections overall in the history of the event. Last season, the Blue Devils' five draft picks tied for the third highest in a single year in program history, trailing 2018 and 2009 as each year had seven. In addition, five Blue Devils in the first 20 rounds of the draft matched the most in school history.
Thirty-two of Duke's draft selections have come head coach
Chris Pollard and at least one Blue Devil has been drafted in the top-five rounds in eight of the last nine MLB Drafts.

Henry Williams checking in at No. 81 and RHP
Marcus Johnson at No. 139. Incoming freshman SS
Cole Young (Wexford, Pa.) was ranked No. 20 and RHP
Kassius Thomas (Newport Coast, Calif.) was ranked No. 118.
