DURHAM – Senior outfielder
RJ Schreck was tabbed a first-team All-American by the NCAA Senior CLASS Award, the organization announced.

Schreck recently graduated from Duke with a degree in computer science with minors in economics and cultural anthropology. He has been named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll four times, the Dean's List twice, CoSIDA Academic All-District twice and once to the ACC All-Academic Team.

In his career, Schreck slashed .288/.395/.506 with 21 doubles, two triples, 26 home runs and 94 RBIs. His 26 long balls ranks tied for 11th in program history, while his .506 career slugging percentage ranks 16th all-time in program history.

Schreck's most decorated season came in 2021 as he led the program with 18 home runs, the fourth-most in a single season in Duke history, on his way to third-team All-ACC, ABCA All-Atlantic Region and NCAA Knoxville All-Regional honors. His .635 slugging percentage in 2021 was the ninth-highest single season value in program lore.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior or graduate student and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: classroom, community, character, and competition.

Joining Schreck on the first team was UConn's Austin Peterson, Navy's Christian Policelli, Oregon State's Mitchell Verburg and Stanford's Alex Williams. The second team was comprised of Dominic Keegan (Vanderbilt), Jake Kuchmaner (East Carolina), Tanner Smith (Oregon), Kolby Somers (Oregon) and Tyler Thomas (Baylor). Policelli was named the 2022 Senior CLASS Award winner.
