DURHAM – No. 12 Duke softball (36-7, 16-3 ACC) concludes its non-conference schedule on Tuesday, as the Blue Devils travel to Buies Creek, N.C., for a matchup with Campbell at 6 p.m.
The Blue Devils and Camels (31-15, 18-6 Big South) game will be streamed on ESPN Plus.
Last Time Out
The Blue Devils won another ACC series, taking two of three games at Syracuse from April 22-24. Pitching helped lead the Blue Devils, who allowed just one run over the entire weekend, which was unearned.
Peyton St. George went 11 scoreless innings between two starts, recording her 11th complete game of the year in the series opener.
Jala Wright had another strong outing, throwing a complete game of her own in game two. Speed was also a factor for the Blue Devils, who stole 12 bases over three games.

The two North Carolina based programs are set to meet for the fifth time, with the Blue Devils having won the last three games. After scoring just two runs in the first meeting back in 2018, the Blue Devils' bats have come alive against the Camels, averaging 11.3 runs per game over the next three meetings, with two run-rule wins.
Caroline Jacobsen has had great success against the Camels, hitting .500 with two home runs and five RBI, while
Jameson Kavel and
Kristina Foreman have each driven in three more runs while both going 6-for-13 (.462).
Scouting The Opponent
Campbell: The Camels are in the thick of a very tight race at the top of the Big South, with USC Upstate, Presbyterian and Longwood all within one game of each other for the regular season title. The Camels have been playing a lot of innings as of late, with five extra inning games since April 15, including a 14-inning marathon against Longwood. Duke and Campbell have several common opponents, with the Camels defeating Florida A&M and UNC Greensboro, while falling to Charlotte, James Madison, and NC State. Delaney McDilda has been a key run producer for the Camels, driving in 28 runs.

What to Watch For
- Kavel has been one of the top doubles' hitters in the nation with 14 on the year to rank 25th nationally. She is closing in on the program's single season record of 15, set by Raine Wilson in 2018.
- Foreman remains on a lengthy on-base streak, reaching in 15 consecutive games. That's good for the longest active streak on the team.
- St. George ranks 15th in the nation in wins with 19 and needs just one more to set a single season program record.
- In addition to Kavel (doubles) and St. George (wins), the Blue Devils have several other top-25 national marks. Kavel ranks 15th in runs per game (1.09), 16th in total bases (112), 22nd in slugging percentage (.855) and 23rd in home runs (15). Foreman ranks 23rd in RBI per game (1.11) and St. George ranks 22nd in saves (three).
- Duke is swinging for the fences this season, ranking seventh in the nation in home runs per game at 1.81 to lead the ACC. Kavel leads the team with 15 on the season.
- With 78 home runs for the campaign, the Blue Devils have already blown past their single-season record of 47 from last year. The Blue Devils have also set a single-season RBI mark with 306 this season.
- The Blue Devils continue to lead the ACC in batting average (.335), slugging percentage (.624), on-base percentage (.426) and scoring (7.44 runs per game), while ranking in the top-10 nationally in all of them, plus home runs per game.
