SARASOTA, Fla. – No. 10 Duke picked up wins in the Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four on Saturday to wrap up competition at the Big Ten Invite in Sarasota, Fla.

Following second-place finishes by the Second Varsity Four and Varsity Eight, the 2V8 came through with a narrow victory over No. 20 Indiana (6:31.821). In Duke's final race of the weekend, the V4 crossed the line at 7:23.141, edging out the Hoosiers' time of 7:28.164.

Combined with a clean sweep in Friday's morning session, the Blue Devils closed out the regatta with six wins, trailing only No. 6 Michigan (16) and No. 2 Stanford (12) for total victories in the 16-team field.

"Another great weekend of racing for our team," said head coach Megan Cooke Carcagno. "Each race showed us an area that we can work on these last few weeks before the conference championships. I'm proud of our boats – they had key successes against ranked opponents and came away with a lot of confidence."

Duke's 2V8 continued its dominant start to the season this weekend, winning two of three races. For the spring, the 2V8 has placed first in eight out of nine competitions.

The Blue Devils will co-host the Lake Wheeler Invitational alongside North Carolina April 22-23 at Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C. Fourteen teams from around the country will join Duke and UNC at the annual regatta entering its third year.
