DURHAM – Duke track and field heads back to High Point this weekend for the Meet of Champions on Saturday, April 16.
Duke will compete among a field that includes Charlotte, Elon (women only), High Point, Liberty and North Carolina A&T.
The one-day meet will be conducted by NCAA rules and feature championship scoring. Live results will be provided via FlashResults and the meet will be broadcast live on ESPN+ beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET.

What to Watch/Last Time Out:
- Duke opens the meet with the women's hammer throw beginning at 10 a.m.
- Sophomore Moorea Mitchell delivered another strong performance last weekend at the Duke Invitational, moving into third all-time in school lore behind her throw of 56.80m (186-4 feet).
- Scott Campbell, Kyle Foltz, Luke Jackson, Chris Shanahan and Liam Kahn are set for the men's javelin.
- Shanahan, Jackson and Campbell finished fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively, last weekend at the home meet while Kahn placed 11th. The quartet's combined performances made them the No. 2 men's javelin group in the NCAA.
- Junior Beau Allen leapt 2.12m (6-11.50 feet) and picked up his third overall and second consecutive win in the men's high jump.
- On the women's side, sophomore Brianna Smith gears up for her second high jump event of the outdoor season. Last time she competed in the event, Smith won her section at the Texas Relays with a 1.77m (5-9.75 feet) jump.
- Ezra Mellinger takes part in the long jump for the second straight week after setting the meet record at the Duke Invite. On his final attempt, the junior flew out to 7.50m (24-7.25 feet), improving his No. 4 all-time program mark.
- Erick Duffy, Michael Fairbanks and Cole Rowan will represent the Blue Devils in the men's pole vault.
- Last weekend, the trio finished third through fifth, with Fairbanks (third) and Rowan (fifth) recording personal bests.
- The men's and women's 4x100m relays hit the track after both groups put on historic performances at the Duke Invite.
- Joseph Laster, Mellinger, Miles Mingo and Donovan Spearman set a new program record via a blistering run of 40.41 seconds.
- The women's unit of Halle Bieber, Abby Geiser, Maya Provencal and Kelcie Simmons clocked a season-best run of 44.62 seconds to win their event and move into No. 4 all-time at Duke.
- Graduate student Lauren Hoffman gears up for the 400m hurdles set to commence at 5:10 p.m.
- Hoffman shattered her own three-year-old Duke Invitational record as she clocked 57.24 seconds to win the event.
- Spearman had a strong showing last weekend in his first 200m of the season. He dashed a slightly wind assisted 20.88 seconds for the fastest all-conditions event time in school history.
- The Blue Devils will feature two relay teams in the women's 4x400m at 6:20 p.m.
- Last weekend at Duke's home meet, the quartet of juniors Jenna Crean and Carly King, Hoffman and freshman Megan McGinnis won the event and broke Duke's own four-year-old meet record behind a blazing run of 3:38.05.

- Duke's women's team is currently ranked 16th in the nation.
- The Blue Devils boast the top-ranked women's heptathlon group and the No. 2 men's javelin unit, according to the USTFCCA Event Squad rankings.
- Three Blue Devil women hold top-five national marks– Isabel Wakefield (second) and Erin Marsh (fourth) in the heptathlon and Lauren Hoffman (fourth) in the 400m hurdles.
