DURHAM – Duke track and field returns to action this week as the Blue Devils head up the road to High Point for the VertKlasse Meeting April 1-2 at Vert Stadium.
The Blue Devils will be represented by 23 team members at the meet competing across sprints, mid distance and field events. Both days of the meet will be broadcast on ESPN+ with live results provided via FlashResults.
Along with Duke, the field includes App State, Barton, Campbell, Charlotte, Coker, Concord, Davidson, Denison, Elon, Fayetteville St., Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Georgian Court, Glenville St, High Point, Lees-McRae, Lenior Rhyne, Liberty, Louisburg College, Meredith, Methodist, Mount St. Mary's, NC A&T, NC Central, North Carolina Wesleyan, Patrick Henry, Pfeiffer, Roanoke, Shaw, St Augustine's, UNC, UNC-Asheville, Wake Forest, Wheeling, William Peace, Winston Salem State, and Winthrop.

What to Watch
- The meet begins for the Blue Devils on Friday with the women's shot put and javelin – both slated for a 1 p.m. start.
- Sophomore Moorea Mitchell looks to keep her strong start to the season going as she gears up for the women's hammer throw, which kicks off Saturday's slate of events beginning at 9:30 a.m.
- Mitchell improved her number No. 4 all-time Duke mark in the first two meets of the outdoor season. She recorded a throw of 54.20m (177-10 feet) at the Bob Davidson Invitational to open the season, then followed that up with a 54.58m (179-1 feet) toss at the Raleigh Relays.
- Junior Beau Allen is one of three team members set to represent Duke in the men's high jump. This past weekend at the at the Raleigh Relays, Allen cleared 2.10m (6-10.75 feet) to place third overall, matching his outdoor PR and fourth-ranked all-time Duke mark.
- Erick Duffy gets set to take part in the men's pole vault set to begin at 12:30 p.m.
- The last time Duffy competed at Vert Stadium (Bob Davidson Invitational), the graduate student opened the 2022 campaign catapulting into the No. 2 spot in the program record books behind a clearance of 5.30m (17-4.50 feet).

Duke returns to Durham as the Blue Devils are set to host its first and only home meet of the season in the Duke Invitational. The three-day meet will take place at Morris Williams Stadium from April 7-9. More information will be available on GoDuke.com closer to the start of the meet.
