The Opening Faceoff
- The Blue Devils enter their final midweek contest Tuesday after a tough 14-13 overtime loss to Penn in Levittown, N.Y. Duke is 5-2 overall and ranked 10th nationally. The game at High Point is Duke's eighth since Feb. 4, a span of 26 days.
- High Point enters the Tuesday night contest following a hard-fought win at Navy. The Panthers are 2-2 overall with setbacks coming against Virginia and Maryland.
- Dyson Williams continues to lead the way for the Blue Devils with 23 goals and six assists for 29 points.. The junior has a hat trick in six of the seven games season. Brennan O'Neill has 19 goals and 26 points and Sean Lulley has 13 goals and 23 points.
- Nakeie Montgomery is coming off a six-point outing against Penn and has 20 points, while Joe Robertson has 19 points and Andrew McAdorey 17. Duke is averaging 16.57 goals per game to rank eighth nationally.
- Defensively, Kenny Brower draws the opponent's top attackman and has nine caused turnovers and 23 ground balls. Wilson Stephenson has 12 caused turnovers and 13 GBs, while Tyler Carpenter has 10 and 30, respectively.
- In goal, Mike Adler has been outstanding, averaging 10.29 saves per game and sporting a .532 save percentage. He has made 16 saves twice already this season.

Scouting High Point
- High Point enters Tuesday night's game with a 2-2 overall record following its 14-13 win at Navy Saturday. The Panthers' two losses have come acrosse No. 1 Maryland and No. 2 Virginia. High Point took Virginia to the end in a narrow 11-10 setback. In a vote of the coaches in the Southern Conference, High Point was picked to repeat as champs, while Asher Noltin and Hunter Vines were selected to the preseason All-SoCon team.
- Nolting paces the High Point offense with 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points. He ranks third among active players in career points with 263. Brandon Mayea has 10 goals and 11 points overall, while Michael Ippolito is coming off a four-goal game at Navy.
- Parker Green is an anchor on defense with five caused turnovers and 12 ground balls. Trey Smith also has forced five turnovers and picked up 11 loose balls.
- At the faceoff dot, the combination of the trio of Collin Hoben, Joey Dahlkemper and AJ Kiernan are 48-115 (.417) this season. Hoben has taken most of the restarts, going 22-of-58 (.379). In goal, Parker Green has made 43 saves and has a 13.64 goals against average and a .439 save percentage.

- Duke and High Point are meeting for the 10th time overall. The Blue Devils are 8-1 all-time against the Panthers and average 16.33 goals per game in the nine outings.
- The Blue Devils defeated High Point, 27-8, during the regular season in 2021 before taking down the Panthers, 16-10, in the NCAA Tournament first round. Duke has failed to score double-digit goals just once, a 13-9 loss in 2019.
Last Time Out
- Penn scored with 25 seconds left in overtime to rally to a 14-13 win over Duke last Saturday on Long Island. The Quakers scored four of the final five goals of the fourth quarter to force overtime.

- Jake Naso was outstanding at the faceoff X, winning 19-of-26, picking up 13 ground balls and scoring a goal in his first career postseason contest.
- Sean Lowrie chipped in three goals, while Owen Caputo and Brennan O'Neill both had two apiece. Mike Adler made 14 saves in goal.
Nolting Versus the Blue Devils
- Duke's defense has done well overall to contain High Point's Asher Nolting. In five games against Duke, Nolting has nine goals and nine assists for a 3.60 points per game average. The talented attackman is averaging 6.00 points per game this season and 5.13 for his career.
- Last season, Nolting had three goals and an assist during the regular season and a goal and three assists in the NCAA Tournament matchup.
Bouncing Back After A Loss
- Since 2007, Duke has only lost consecutive games 10 times. The Blue Devils sufferred back-to-back losses twice in 2011 and lost three consecutive in 2015. The three-game losing streak is the longest for Duke since 2004. Duke is 31-10 in the first game immediately following a loss.
- Duke rebounded from the Jacksonville setback to beat Denver, 19-10.
