DURHAM – The Duke wrestling program (6-6, 0-1 ACC) returns to Cameron Indoor Stadium for another ACC dual match, facing off against No. 5 NC State (7-1, 0-0 ACC) on Friday night at 7 p.m.

The Blue Devils notched two wins on the day, as redshirt senior
Josh Finesilver won at 149 pounds, while junior
Jonah Niesenbaum picked up a win at 285 pounds. Both wrestlers won their decisions by a sudden victory score of 3-1.

Finesilver joined his brother
Matt Finesilver (two) as the only Duke wrestlers with wins over top-20 opponents, when he downed No. 20 Zach Sherman. Finesilver moved to 3-2 against ranked wrestlers this season with the win.

Niesenbaum took home his first overtime decision of the season and improved to 2-0 against the Tar Heels in dual matches in his career with a victory over Brandon Whitman. Niesenbaum improved to 14-6 with the win.

OPPONENT HISTORY
- The Blue Devils and Wolfpack will meet for the 87th time in their long-time ACC series. The Blue Devils trail 21-65-1 in the all-time series.
- The two teams last met on Feb. 12, 2021, when NC State won a 37-6 decision.Â
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Both Finesilver brothers carry national rankings via InterMat, with Josh checking in at No. 13 in the nation at 149 pounds, while Matt ranks No. 15 in the 174-pound weight class.
- The redshirt seniors both are set for top-15 matchups this Friday. Matt Finesilver is slated to face the No. 4 wrestler in the country in Hayden Hidlay, a graduate student with a perfect 8-0 record this season.
- Josh Finesilver faces his fourth-straight ranked opponent and his highest ranked this season, in also undefeated graduate student Tariq Wilson, who ranks third in the nation at 149 pounds.
- Both Finesilver brothers recently passed the 70-win threshold. Josh is now two away from 75, while Matt stands at 71 career victories.
- Junior Jonah Niesenbaum has won his last three matches and four of his last five entering Friday's dual. The Allentown, Pa., native is set for a potential rematch with No. 25 Owen Trephan, who he went to overtime with at the Battle at The Citadel on Nov. 6.
- Redshirt senior Kaden Russell is closing in on 40 career victories. The Cleveland, Ohio, native stands at 37 in his career.
- Russell recorded one of the biggest wins of last season against the Wolfpack, defeating then No. 16 Isaac Trumble by fall. The two will clash again on Friday, with Trumble ranked No. 20 in the nation.
- The Wolfpack will be the third ranked opponent and second-straight faced by the Blue Devils this season after grappling with No. 18 North Carolina on Jan. 21. The Blue Devils also met No. 20 Purdue on Nov. 21.
