DURHAM – The Duke baseball program will enter the 2022 season ranked No. 23 in the
D1Baseball Preseason Top 25.

The Blue Devils finished the 2021 season with a record of 33-22, including the program's first ACC Tournament championship and an appearance at the Knoxville Regional. Duke's showing at a postseason regional marked its third consecutive and ninth overall as a program.

Duke was one of six ACC teams to be ranked entering the season, joining No. 10 NC State, No. 11 Florida State, No. 13 Notre Dame, No. 21 Georgia Tech and No. 25 Miami.

Duke returns 27 letterwinners from its 2021 team, including Third Team All-ACC outfielder
RJ Schreck. The Blue Devils also welcome 16 newcomers to the squad, as the
group was recently tabbed the 10th best class nationally by
D1Baseball.

In addition to the
D1Baseball poll, Duke has been ranked in the
Collegiate Baseball Preseason Poll (No. 28) and the
Perfect Game Preseason Poll (No. 29).

Duke opens the 2022 season Feb. 18-20 as it hosts Virginia Military Institute for a three-game series at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
