DURHAM – The Duke swimming and diving program travels to NC State on Saturday to take on the No. 2/5 Wolfpack at Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center. Diving is set to begin at 10 a.m., with swimming to follow at 11 a.m.

No. NR/RV Duke will travel to No. 2/5 NC state on Saturday. Duke trails in the all-time series 3-37 and 13-69 for the women and men, respectively. In the most recent meeting, the Blue Devil women and men fell to the Wolfpack 163.5-93.5 and 92-167, respectively.

LAST TIME OUT
The Duke swimming and diving team split meets against Queens University of Charlotte and fell to Tennessee on Saturday at Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion.

The Duke women topped top-ranked Division II side Queens 192-62 but fell to No. 6 Tennessee 167-94. Duke's men fell to No. 2 Queens and No. 15 Tennessee, 151-110 and 175-87, respectively.

"We are very pleased with our performances today coming off the holiday break," head coachÂ
Dan Colella said. "It was a great meet with two really exceptional teams to knock the cobwebs off and get some great racing in. I'm just really proud of the way they performed. Not just the wins today, there were a lot of great performances across the board. I think we have set ourselves up well for the home stretch of the season."

The Blue Devils were strong in the breaststroke as sophomoreÂ
Sarah Foley placed first in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.33) and second in the 100 (1:02.25). SophomoreÂ
Catherine Belyakov finished third in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:17.51. The duo also performed well in the 200 individual medley as Foley and Belyakov touched second and third with times of 2:01.36 and 2:02.78, respectively.

DRISCOLL, FOLEY NAMED ACC SWIMMERS OF THE WEEK

Brendan Driscoll and sophomoreÂ
Sarah Foley were named the men's and women's ACC Swimmers of the Week for the week of Jan. 11. Â

Driscoll recorded a pair of strong races to lead the Blue Devils against No. 15 Tennessee and No. 2 Queens University of Charlotte (Division II). The Tampa, Fla., native placed first in the 1,000 freestyle with a mark of 9:14.15 and touched second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:30.76.

Foley led the Duke women's team in the meet against No. 6 Tennessee and top-ranked Division II side Queens. A native of Philadelphia, Pa., she placed first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.33 and second in the 100 breaststroke, touching in 1:02.25. She finished second in the 200 individual medley in 2:01.36. Foley also was a member of Duke's 200 medley relay team that placed second in the meet (1:39.61).

O'MEARA CONTINUES TO SHINE
Freshman diverÂ
Margo O'Meara was named the ACC Women's Diver of the Week for the third consecutive week following her performance at the Wolfpack Invitational in November.

O'Meara, a native of St. Louis, Mo., put together an impressive performance at the Wolfpack Invitational and left no doubt on the springboards, placing first in both the preliminaries and finals. O'Meara scored 306.00 in the one-meter final and 343.90 in the three-meter final. In platform diving, O'Meara placed second in the finals with a score of 252.35.

During the programs winter break, O'Meara competed at the 2021 USA Diving Winter Nationals. She reached the finals of all three events she competed in, including a second-place finish in the synchronized three-meter diving event. O'Meara teamed up with Kristen Hayden in the competition, scoring 512.10 to finish second. She also placed fifth and sixth on the one- and three-meter boards, respectively.

UP NEXT
Following the meet, the Blue Devils return home to Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion to host Senior Day on Friday, January 28 against rival North Carolina. The meet is slated for 4 p.m.
