Scouting the Cardinals
- Louisville makes the trip to Durham sporting a 7-1 record and 1-0 mark in ACC play. The fifth-ranked Cardinals split their games last weekend, beating No. 11 Virginia, 1-0, and losing to No. 2 Iowa, 2-0.
- The Cardinals are outscoring their opponents 20-6 for the season and own an impressive 0.74 goals against average. Louisville's goals against average is the best in the ACC and fourth nationally.
- Mattie Tabor paces Louisville on offense with 10 points (4 goals, 2 assists), while Katie Schneider has three goals and three assists. Overall, 10 different Cardinals have scored at least one goal.
- Mila de Kuijer anchors the defense with a 0.74 goals against average and 28 saves. Only two other teams have more shutouts than Louisville – Iowa and Harvard.

- Louisville and Duke are meeting for the 18th time overall and for the eighth straight season since the Cardinals joined the ACC in 2014.
- Duke leads the series 11-6 and has the most recent victory, a 4-3 shootout win last April. The Cardinals have won three of the past five, but have managed just one win in Durham.

- Louisville outshot Duke, 20-6, for the game, but a sterling defensive performance by the Blue Devils sent the game into a shootout all square at, 3-3. Piper Hampsch had eight saves in the game.
- Noor van de Laar, Libby Thompson, Eva Nunnink all scored for the Blue Devils. Louisville forced overtime with a goal in the 53rd minute.
- In the stroke-off, Duke and Louisville made four of its first five shots to force a second round of strokes. After Hampsch forced a miss by the Cardinals, Hannah Miller stepped up to give Duke the win.

Scouting The Tribe
- William & Mary is 0-5 overall and coming off a 2-0 setback to Liberty last weekend. The Tribe have managed just five goals in five games with three of the setbacks coming to top 20 teams.
- All five goals have come from five different players for the Tribe. Tabby Billingham has two assists.
- Defensively, William & Mary has allowed 19 goals for a 4.43 goals against average. Twelve of those 19 goals came against No. 16 Penn State (7) and No. 8 Virginia (5). Kimi Jones has played the majority of minutes in the cage and sports a 5.09 goals against average and has 19 saves.

- Duke has a commanding 28-8-1 lead in the series against William & Mary. The Blue Devils own 17 straight victories over the Tribe dating back to Sept. 22, 2001.

- Duke is 3-4 overall and coming off a 3-1 win at James Madison. The Blue Devils are 0-1 in conference action. Leah Crouse leads the balanced offense with two goals, while Lexi Davidson and MaryKate Neff have a goal and two assists apiece. Eight different Blue Devils have scored this season.
- Duke is averaging 8.14 shots per game and is earning 4.14 penalty corners per game. The Blue Devils are putting 47 percent of their shots on cage.

- Most recently, James Madison won nine penalty corners, scoring once. Duke held the Dukes scoreless on six corners in the fourth quarter.

Duke's first off the restart was at Princeton to seal the victory over the Tigers. - Duke senior Leah Crouse is two points shy of her 50th career point. She will be the 41st Blue Devil in program history to reach the benchmark. She registered 39 points her first two seasons, but missed the second half of the 2020-21 campaign to injury.
