CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After a historic run through pool play and the semifinals, the Duke baseball team is set for its first ACC Baseball Championship Game appearance as the ninth-seed Blue Devils take on third-seed NC State on Sunday at noon at Truist Field.

The championship game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 with Mike Morgan (PxP) and Gaby Sanchez (Analyst) on the call. Chris Edwards also has the call for Duke's game on the Blue Devil Sports Network from Learfield IMG College and will be available on 620 AM, GoDuke.com or the TuneIn app.

HISTORY AT THE ACC CHAMPIONSHIP
Duke will compete in the ACC Championship Game for the first time in program history. Duke last won the ACC in 1961, prior to when the conference established the ACC Championship in 1973. The Blue Devils and NC State meet for just the 13

HSTORIC OPENING TO THE ACC BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Duke made program history in the 2021 ACC Baseball Championship as the Blue Devils advanced out of pool play for the second time in program history and will make its first appearance in an ACC title game. Duke also advanced to the semifinals in 2017 when the Championship was in Louisville. This year, Duke topped Florida State and Miami in pool play, recording its first wins over each opponent at the ACC Championship in program history. The Blue Devils also beat Virginia in the semifinals to advance to continue to seek its first ACC title in program history. Duke's 12-1 win over Florida State was the first time the Blue Devils have ever beaten a Seminole team by 10+ runs.

RJ Schreck earned All-ACC honors, the conference announced following the regular season. Loperfido earned Second Team All-ACC honors after leading the team and ranking in the top 10 in the conference in batting average (.360), on-base percentage (.469), runs (48), doubles (14), and stolen bases (11). Schreck was a Third Team All-ACC selection after hitting a slash line of .350/.453/.644, all career highs. His slugging percentage leads the team and ranks in the top 10 in program history for a single season. Schreck also boasts 15 home runs and 46 RBIs, both ranking in the top 10 in the conference this season.
FINISHING THE SEASON STRONG
The Blue Devils have been red-hot in its last 11 games, currently on the third-longest winning streak in the country. After sweeping Virginia Tech and Clemson in the final two series of the season, Duke swept Pool D and topped Virginia in the semifinals at the 2021 ACC Baseball Championship to capture its 11th straight win. During that span, Duke is hitting .315 while holding its opponents to .230. In addition, Duke has outscored its opponents, 86-32, and its pitching staff boasts a 2.69 ERA with 105 strikeouts in 97 innings of work.
