- Duke (11-10, 5-7 ACC) travels to Miami (13-8, 7-7 ACC) this weekend for a three-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday followed by a 1 p.m. start on Sunday.

SERIES HISTORY
Duke and Miami meet for the 53rd time in the two programs' histories, dating back to 1966. Duke currently trails in the all-time series, 12-40, and holds an 8-25 record in games played in Miami. The Hurricanes took the most recent series between the two squads, winning two of the three in Coral Gables in 2019. Duke is looking for its first series win at Miami in program history. SCOUTING THE HURRICANES
Miami is coming off a huge 21-1 win over FIU and has won four of its last five. The Hurricanes enter the weekend ranked No. 19 in the D1Baseball.com poll after taking the series at Virginia last weekend. Miami is largely led by Yohandy Morales at the plate. The freshman infielder leads the Hurricanes in triples (2), home runs (5), RBIs (21) and slugging percentage (.556) while tying to lead the team in hits (26) and doubles (5). Speedster outfielder Jordan Lala leads the team in getting on base with a .429 on-base percentage including 18 walks. Once on the bases, Lala boasts six stolen bases and 26 runs.

SCHRECK LEADING THE WAY
Junior
RJ Schreck leads the Blue Devils offensively as he's batting .370 with 27 hits, including four doubles and a team-leading five home runs. In addition, Schreck totals 19 RBIs, including eight from the Boston College series. Schreck ranks sixth in the conference in batting average and ranks fifth in the league in on-base percentage. Coming into the season, Schreck had a career batting average of .172 (15-for-87). The Los Angeles, Calif., native's five solo home runs this season are the first of his career. Schreck is second on the team with eight multi-hit games and ties to lead the team with five multi-RBIs games.

PITCHING, DEFENSE NOT MAKING IT EASY
Duke's pitching staff sits third in the conference in hits allowed per game, giving up just 7.50 hits per nine. Florida State (6.72) leads the category in the conference. Junior
Cooper Stinson leads the team and the ACC, allowing just 4.76 hits per game throughout the season. Stinson also leads the league in opponent batting average as the junior is allowing batters just a .158 clip.

ROTHENBERG JOINING THE RECORD BOOKS
Senior
Michael Rothenberg is currently tied for 22nd in program history in home runs (17) and 13th in program history in hit-by-pitch (28). He is also nearing the top 25 lists of school history in walks and RBIs as well. The Boca Raton native has 76 career walks, nearing Luis Duarte's 86 from 1992-95 that rank 25th. His 101 career RBIs are approaching JD Alleva (1998-01) and Jeff Piscorik (1992-95) who tie for 25th in school history with 122.

POLLARD EARNS 100TH LEAGUE WIN
Duke head coach
Chris Pollard recorded his 100th win in ACC play with Duke's win over Notre Dame on March 21. Pollard became the first Duke baseball coach to reach the 100 ACC win mark in school history. In addition, he is one of six active coaches in the conference to hold 100 victories.

Duke's defense up the middle has found success turning double plays, boasting 17 double plays in 21 games. Those 17 sit third in the ACC so far this season. Junior

CAREY, JOHNSON COMBINE FOR GEM AT NOTRE DAME

Jack Carey and sophomore
Marcus Johnson combined for a pitching gem in a shutout win at No. 17 Notre Dame on March 21. Carey made his fifth start of the season, allowing just one hit and one walk in 6.0 innings of work. Johnson worked a perfect three-inning save, retiring all nine batters faced. Duke gave up just one hit for the first time of the season and the first time since a win against Florida State in the final series of 2020.
