GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior
Maddi Pullinger earned qualification to the 2021 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in the one-meter event after placing sixth at the Zone B Diving Championships on Sunday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

Pullinger scored a 577.95 to place sixth in the event and earn one of the seven available qualifying spots in the one-meter competition.

A native of Sydney, Australia, Pullinger will make her second appearance at NCAAs, having also qualified for the one-meter in 2019.

Also competing in the one-meter competition for Duke was junior
Kate Mullin. Mullin reached the finals in the event, placing 13th overall with a score of 527.80.

Harel Anolick and freshman
Seamus Harding Jr. also competed on Sunday in the men's three-meter competition. Anolick scored 300.05 while Harding Jr. recorded a 287.75 mark.

In addition to the divers competing, select members of the Duke men's swimming team competed at the UNC Last Chance Meet in Chapel Hill, N.C. Two Blue Devils set school records at the meet.

Junior
David Hallaron set a school record in the 500 freestyle by swimming a 4:22.33 in the morning. Later in the evening, Hallaron competed in the 200 backstroke, touching in a career-best time of 1:44.19 to improve his second-place time in school history. Both of the marks he recorded were NCAA 'B' Standard times.

Fellow classmate
Matthew Whelan broke the school record in the 200 butterfly, clocking a career-best time of 1:42.41 in the event. His time shattered the previous school record of 1:44.41, being exactly two seconds faster. Whelan's time was also a NCAA 'B' Standard time.

Duke is back in action on Monday at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships in Greensboro as the women compete in the three-meter event while the men take on the platform.
