DURHAM, N.C. – The 11th-ranked Duke softball team is heading south for a four-game series at No. 20 Clemson, March 26-28, at McWhorter Stadium.
Due to anticipated inclement weather, this weekend's schedule has been adjusted. The Blue Devils (24-1, 12-1 ACC) and Tigers (20-2, 12-2) will now play a doubleheader on Friday, beginning at 3 p.m. The teams will play single games on Saturday and Sunday, both of which will be nationally televised.

HISTORY WITH THE TIGERS
The two programs met on opening day last season when Duke run-ruled Clemson, 11-0, in five innings. The Blue Devils scored runs in the first four innings, including seven in the third.

Jameson Kavel all notched two hits and two RBIs.
Brianna Butler tossed a one-hitter and picked up four strikeouts in the season-opening victory.
RECAPPING SYRACUSE SWEEP
Duke collected its third conference sweep of the 2021 campaign, going 4-0 last weekend against Syracuse. The Blue Devils outscored the Orange, 31-8, using 27 RBIs to score their 31 runs.
Kavel led the Blue Devils with six hits (6-for-12), including two doubles, and four stolen bases. Jacobsen hit .571, going 4-for7 with a double and two home runs for seven RBIs while sophomore
Gisele Tapia went 4-for-9 with a home run and five RBIs.

Shelby Walters went 2-0 in the circle, throwing 12 innings in which she fanned nine batters. Senior

Claire Davidson both earned wins while Butler was credited with a save.
100-WIN CLUB
Head coach
Marissa Young recorded her 100th career victory and the program's 100th win with a 7-3 feat in game three last weekend. Duke now holds a 101-63 all-time record since its inaugural season in 2018.
DUKE IN THE RPI, NATIONAL RANKINGS
With the first RPI of the 2021 campaign announced on Tuesday, Duke was the second highest ACC team, breaking into the top 10 at No. 9. In the national polls, the Blue Devils are the highest ranked ACC program in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 at No. 11 and No. 12, respectively.
UP NEXT
The Blue Devils will host Virginia Tech in a four-game series next weekend, April 2-4, at the Duke Softball Stadium. Games two and four will be featured on ACC Network.
