- Duke (9-8, 4-5 ACC) hosts Georgia Tech (11-8, 8-4 ACC) this weekend. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday followed by a 1 p.m. start on Sunday.
- The Blue Devils return to the DBAP after topping UNC Greensboro in a midweek matchup, 5-2, at Jack Coombs Field on Tuesday.

SERIES HISTORY
Duke and Georgia Tech meet for the 138th time in the two programs' histories, dating back to 1903. Duke currently trails in the all-time series, 40-97, and holds a 20-38 record in Durham. In the last series, the Yellow Jackets tallied 15 hits in the first two games, scoring a combined 29 runs to pick up two victories. SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS
Georgia Tech head coach Danny Hall has the 2021 Georgia Tech squad playing at a high level out of the gate to open the season. The Yellow Jackets are 11-6 on the year, dropping just one series so far this season. Georgia Tech is 8-4 in conference play, sweeping a ranked NC State and taking two of three from then-No. 1 Louisville. Most recently, the Yellow Jackets traveled to Wake Forest and took games two and three in the series after dropping the first. Freshman catcher Kevin Parada has jumped out to a strong rookie campaign, leading the team and ACC in batting average (.422) and doubles (eight). Second-year freshman infielder Drew Compton leads the team in runs, home runs and RBIs with 17, five and 18, respectively.Â

SCHRECK LEADING THE WAY
Junior
RJ Schreck leads the Blue Devils offensively this season as he's batting .400 with 24 hits, including three doubles and a team-leading five home runs. In addition, Schreck totals 19 RBIs, including eight from the Boston College series. Schreck ranks second in the conference in batting average and ranks in the top-10 in the league in hits, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and RBIs. Coming into the season, Schreck had a career batting average of .172 (15-for-87). The Los Angeles, Calif., native's three solo home runs this season are the first of his career. Schreck also leads the team with eight multi-hit games and five multi-RBIs games.

PITCHING, DEFENSE NOT MAKING IT EASY
Duke's pitching staff sits second in the conference in hits allowed per nine innings, giving up just 6.97 hits per nine. Florida State (6.37) leads the category in the conference. Junior
Cooper Stinson leads the team and ranks second in the ACC, allowing just 4.98 hits per nine innings throughout the season. Stinson also ranks second in the ACC in opponent batting average as the junior is allowing batters just a .164 clip.

ROTHENBERG JOINING THE RECORD BOOKS
Senior
Michael Rothenberg is currently tied for 25th in program history in home runs (16) and 13th in program history in hit-by-pitch (28). He is also nearing the top 25 lists of school history in walks and RBIs as well. The Boca Raton native has 74 career walks, nearing Luis Duarte's 86 from 1992-95 that rank 25th. His 99 career RBIs are approaching JD Alleva (1998-01) and Jeff Piscorik (1992-95) who tie for 25th in school history with 122.

POLLARD EARNS 100TH LEAGUE WIN
Duke head coach
Chris Pollard recorded his 100th win in ACC play with Duke's win over Notre Dame on March 21. Pollard became the first Duke baseball coach to reach the 100 ACC win mark in school history. In addition, he is one of six active coaches in the conference to hold 100 victories.

CAREY, JOHNSON COMBINE FOR GEM AT NOTRE DAME

Jack Carey and sophomore
Marcus Johnson combined for a pitching gem in a shutout win at No. 17 Notre Dame on March 21. Carey made his fifth start of the season, allowing just one hit and one walk in 6.0 innings of work. Johnson worked a perfect three-inning save, retiring all nine batters faced. Duke gave up just one hit for the first time of the season and the first time since a win against Florida State in the final series of 2020.
