DURHAM, N.C. – Duke returns home on Tuesday to host UNC Greensboro at 4 p.m. at Jack Coombs Field in Durham, N.C.

- Duke (8-8, 4-5 ACC) hosts UNC Greensboro (11-8, 0-1 SoCon) on Tuesday at Jack Coombs Field on Duke's campus. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
- The Blue Devils play at Jack Coombs Field for the first time since Duke swept a double-header over VCU on April 5, 2019.
- Junior RJ Schreck leads the ACC in batting average, boasting a .429 clip. He has totaled a team-leading 24 hits with five home runs in 15 games so far this season.
- Duke is the only team in the ACC with 10 players that have hit three or more doubles. Boston College, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Virginia Tech all have seven players that have hit the mark.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS

Chris Pollard is familiar with the UNC Greensboro program. The Spartans hold an 11-8 record so far this season, including series wins over Elon twice. In addition, UNCG has taken midweek games over two ranked ACC opponents as the Spartans beat No. 12 NC State and No. 13 Virginia Tech on the road this year. UNCG is coming off a weekend series against Samford in which the Spartans were swept at home. Corey Rosier leads the team offensively in batting average (.375), runs (19), hits (30), RBIs (23), on-base percentage (.446) and slugging percentage (.663).
SCHRECK LEADING THE WAY

RJ Schreck leads the Blue Devils offensively this season as he's batting .429 with 24 hits, including three doubles and a team-leading five home runs. In addition, Schreck totals 19 RBIs, including eight from the Boston College series. Schreck leads the conference in batting average and ranks in the top-10 in the league in hits, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and RBIs. Coming into the season, Schreck had a career batting average of .172 (15-for-87). The Los Angeles, Calif., native's three solo home runs this season are the first of his career. Schreck is tied for the team lead with six multi-hit games and four multi-RBIs games.
ROTHENBERG NAMED TO BUSTER POSEY WATCH LIST
Senior
Michael Rothenberg, out of Boca Raton, Fla., earned recognition on the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Watch List for the second consecutive season. In the shortened 2020 season, Rothenberg batted .349 with an ACC-leading .551 on-base percentage. He also topped the team with 17 RBIs, 15 walks and eight HBP.

The Blue Devils are currently among national leaders in doubles (43 - ninth nationally, third in the ACC) and doubles per game (2.69 - fourth nationally, second in the ACC). Senior

CAREY, JOHNSON COMBINE FOR GEM AT NOTRE DAME

Jack Carey and sophomore
Marcus Johnson combined for a pitching gem in a shutout win at No. 17 Notre Dame on March 21. Carey made his fifth start of the season, allowing just one hit and one walk in 6.0 innings of work. Johnson worked a perfect three-inning save, retiring all nine batters faced. Duke gave up just one hit for the first time of the season and the first time since a win against Florida State in the final series of 2020.
DEFENSE NOT MAKING IT EASY
Duke's pitching staff sits second in the conference in hits allowed per nine innings, giving up just 7.09 hits per nine. Florida State (6.37) leads the category in the conference. Junior
