How did you get started in rowing?
TB: I first started rowing because I used to go to a horseback riding camp and I wanted to take lessons outside of camp. However, my Mom said that I couldn't do that unless I played a sport, so I chose rowing and I never got my horseback riding lessons.
Why did you choose to row for Duke?
TB: When I visited, it was very easy to imagine myself at Duke and I really liked the team culture that I saw.
What impact to you plan to make in your four years?
TB: I want to do whatever I can to make the team faster and win Duke's first ACC Championship.
What did you love about Duke and Durham when you visited?
TB: The food on campus was really good. I liked the pizza place where you cut the pizza with the scissors.
