Senior catcherÂ
Michael Rothenberg and junior right-handed pitcherÂ
Cooper Stinson both earned preseason All-America honors heading into the 2021 season. Rothenberg, Duke's mainstay behind the plate, was named to D1Baseball's Preseason All-America third team after leading the ACC in on-base percentage (.551) last season. He currently owns a reached-base streak of 24 consecutive games, dating back to 2019. Rothenberg batted .349 throughout the 2020 campaign, tying for 18th in the conference, while compiling 17 RBI to lead the Blue Devils. Stinson was named a third team preseason All-American by the NCBWA. Stinson put together a 3-0 record as Duke's Saturday starter in the shortened 2020 season. He carried a 0.42 ERA through the year, ranking first in the league and 15th nationally. Stinson opened the 2020 campaign with 19.2 consecutive innings pitched of scoreless baseball. In addition, Stinson ranked eighth in the ACC in WHIP (0.92) and ninth in walks allowed per nine innings (1.66).

WELCOME TO K-VILLE
The Blue Devil pitching staff has ascended to new heights over the past three seasons, shattering the school's single-season strikeout record in 2018 and 2019. Last season, the Blue Devil pitching staff was on pace to break the school record once again, serving 183 strikeouts in just 143.1 innings pitched through 16 games. The Blue Devils 11.51 strikeouts per nine innings would have set a program record through a full season and ranked 16th nationally when the season was canceled. This season, Duke is off to a hot start, fanning 39 batters in just 34.1 innings pitched for a ratio of 10.22 strikeouts per nine innings.
