A pair of 2-0 teams collide in the final game of the Duke Veterans Day Weekend Showcase Presented by Ameritas as No. 9 Duke welcomes Campbell Saturday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The game tips at 8 p.m. ET on ACC Network Extra with Ryan Craig and Chris Spatola on the call. On the radio locally, David Shumate and John Roth call the action on the Blue Devil Sports Network from Learfield.
The Blue Devils pulled away from Army West Point Friday night, 82-56, while the Camels survived a one-point win over Hartford, 68-67, in Friday's first game of the Showcase.
Although separated by 50 miles, Duke and Campbell have met just twice previously -- the last meeting an 84-59 Duke win at Cameron Indoor on Jan. 13, 1997.
Junior Wendell Moore Jr., recorded the program's fifth triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in Friday's win over Army. It was Duke's first triple-double since RJ Barrett vs. NC State on Feb. 16, 2019 and just the third in the Coach K era.
Moore's 10 assists (against just one turnover) were a career high.
Freshman Paolo Banchero posted his first career double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds in the Army win. He was 7-of-9 from the field and 3-of-3 at the free throw line.
Banchero is averaging 20.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and shooting .700 (14-of-20) from the field and .917 (11-of-12) from the free throw line through his first two career games.
Freshman Trevor Keelscollected six steals in Friday's game -- tied for the second most by a Duke a freshman in a single game.
Through two games, Duke is holding opponents to just .382 from the field, .300 from the three-point line and averaging 11.5 steals per game. Duke has forced opponents to 34 turnovers in two games.
With Friday's win, Duke is improved to 41-1 in home openers under Coach K and have won 40 consecutive.
Beginning with Army, Duke plays five home games over the next 10 days before a date with No. 1 Gonzaga on Friday, Nov. 26 in Las Vegas. Four days later, Duke battles No. 17 Ohio State in Columbus in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge to end the month.
