DURHAM – The Duke men's golf team heads into its final weekend on the fall schedule, with the Blue Devils in action at both the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate in Alpharetta, Ga., and the Grandover Collegiate in Greensboro.
Both the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate (GCOGC) and the Grandover Collegiate are regular stops on Duke's schedule, with the Blue Devils winning the Golf Club of Georgia event in 2019. The GCOGC is set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with 18 holes each day at the Golf Club of Georgia's Lakeside Course, while the Grandover Collegiate is Saturday and Sunday at Grandover Resort's East Course.
The Blue Devils' lineup for the Golf Club of Georgia includes senior
Quinn Riley, sophomores
Ian Siebers and
Jimmy Zheng and freshmen
Luke Sample and
Kelly Chinn. Siebers has posted three consecutive top-10 finishes and leads Duke with his 70.11 scoring average this season. The sophomore from Bellevue, Wash., has carded rounds of par or better in eight of his nine rounds this season.
Duke is paired with Texas A&M and Pepperdine for Friday's first round in Alpharetta, with the trio of teams off the first tee at 10:50 a.m. The stacked field in suburban Atlanta also includes host Georgia Tech, Clemson, Colorado State, East Tennessee State, Southern Cal, Stanford, Tennessee, TCU, UCLA, Virginia and Wake Forest.
The Grandover Collegiate is an individual scoring event with graduate student
Qi wen Wong, joining sophomoreÂ
Daniel Uranga and freshman
John Peters in the field.
