Pam Bustin adds graduate student
Eva Nunnink as the seventh member of the incoming class for the 2020-21 academic year.
Nunnink, who plays both a defender and midfielder, is from Eindhoven, North Brabant in the Netherlands. She went to van Maerlant Iyceum in Eindhoven for high school before attending Tilburg University.
From 2003-16, Nunnink played in the youth system for Oranje Zwart (now Oranje Rood) Hockey Club and joined Were Di for four years (2016-20) while at attending the University of Tilburg.
Born on January 3, 1998, she is the daughter of Hans Nunnink and Hanneke Kuijten. She has an older sister, Laura (25), and brother, Mark (23). Her sister Laura plays for the Dutch National Team.

What is your favorite field hockey memory?
"Competing in the playoffs for the National Championship when I was on the U-18 team of Oranje Zwart."
How did you start playing field hockey?
"When I was young, I always watched my sister's field hockey practices and when I was five years old, I was finally allowed to play myself."
Who has made the biggest impact on your life?
"My parents. They are the ones that raised me to be the person that I am today."
Why Duke?
"I chose Duke because of the high level in field hockey and because of the master's program I am going to do at Fuqua. For me, Duke has the perfect combination of athletic and academic programs and next to that, I really like the atmosphere of the University."
Best advice you've ever been given?
"Always keep learning and not just at school."
