What has been your favorite rowing memory?
LA: Some of my favorite rowing memories include spending our 2019 training camp in Banyoles, Spain, at the 1992 Olympic venue. I also enjoyed taking part in the sponsored 70km row down the River Thames, from Henley Rowing Club to Kingston Grammar School Boat Club in 2016.
How did you get started in rowing?
LA: I started when I was 13 at a 'Learn to row' course at my school. I was very tall so I was encouraged to row!
Why did you choose Duke?Â
LA: The chance to be a part of both a world class academic and sporting institution, as well as the supportive atmosphere I got to experience when I visited. Plus, the group of girls on the squad I met were extremely welcoming and driven!
