DURHAM, N.C. – Last week,
Haley Gorecki was selected one of 10 finalists for the 2020 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

Named after the first player, male or female, selected to an All-America Team in four straight college seasons, the annual award in its third year recognizes the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball.
Gorecki, a native of Palatine, Ill., is the only student-athlete nationally averaging over 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals. She has collected six double-doubles and eight contests with 20 or more points for the Blue Devils. On the year, Gorecki is averaging 18.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.1 steals.
A 6-1 guard, Gorecki currently ranks in the top 20 in numerous ACC categories including third in scoring (18.0), third in steals (2.1), seventh in assists (4.5), third in free throw percentage (85.6), 19th in rebounds (6.7), sixth in minutes played (35.8), tied for ninth in three-point field goals made (2.00) and 12th in field goal percentage (41.1).
The winner of the 2020 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award will be selected at The College Basketball Awards presented by Wendy's in Los Angeles, Calif., on Friday, April 10, 2020, along with the other four members of the Women's Starting Five. Additional awards being presented include the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard Award, the Cheryl Miller Small Forward Award, the Katrina McClain Power Forward Award, and the Lisa Leslie Center Award, in addition to the Men's Starting Five.
