DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke diving team returned to action as it hosted North Carolina in a diving meet Saturday afternoon at Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion.

"Overall, we were really happy to compete against North Carolina in diving events today," diving coach
Nunzio Esposto said after the meet. "The divers performed really well and I was happy with their performances today."

Duke took second, third and fourth in the women's three-meter competition. Sophomore
Kate Mullin placed second with a score of 308.85 while classmate
Ali Watson was not far behind with a career-best score of 307.65. Junior
Maddi Pullinger took fourth in the event scoring a 302.63.

Pullinger and Mullin both took spots on the podium in the women's one-meter competition. Pullinger, a native of Sydney, Australia, secured a second-place finish with a 304.50. Mullin placed third, scoring a 291.98.

"Maddi continues to be a strong performer as an upperclassman and Kate, as a sophomore, continues to dive really well also," Esposto continued.

On the men's side, junior
Harel Anolick placed third in the one-meter with a score of 322.58. Sophomore
Jonah Cagley finished third in the three-meter scoring a career-best 377.63. Anolick also recorded a career best score in the three-meter with a 369.00.
