DURHAM, N.C. – According to
Baseball America, Duke welcomes the No. 24 recruiting class in the country.
Â
The 2021 class is comprised of four infielders, four outfielders, three pitchers and one catcher. Nine different states are represented with two recruits coming from North Carolina, New Jersey and Tennessee.
Â
Duke saw the unfortunate abrupt cancelation of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic after reaching the NCAA Super Regionals the year prior. At the time of cancelation, the Blue Devils held a 12-4 record and were just beginning ACC play.
Â
Since then, the Blue Devils have seen three players enter the professional baseball ranks, includingÂ
Bryce Jarvis who was drafted 18th overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks in June.
Â
Duke is scheduled to release individual details about its 12-member 2021 recruiting class on GoDuke.com in the coming weeks.
