JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Senior Domonique Panton became the sixth individual Blue Devil to qualify for the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Championships Saturday evening at the final day of the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Jacksonville, Fla. The women's 4x400m relay also qualified for the NCAA Championships with their performance today, totaling 10 Duke athletes heading to Texas in June.

Panton joins Monica Hebner, Lauren Hoffman, Erin Marsh, Nati Sheppard and Stefani Vukajlovic as those who will compete as individuals at NCAAs in Austin, Texas, along with the women's 4x400m relay.

Senior Panton had an outstanding performance in the triple jump this afternoon. The Freehold, N.J., native placed sixth overall with a massive PR leap of 13.36m (43-10.00), crushing her previous best mark of 12.87m.

Members of the sprint squad clocked in the third-best time in Duke outdoor history, 3:32.84, as India Lowe, MacKenzie Kerr, Lauren Hoffman and Brittany Aveni were the top-ACC finishers in the field of 24. The Blue Devils were in second most of the race before Aveni took the lead with 100m to go. Every member of this 4x400m relay team posted splits in 53-second range for each of their 400m legs and Aveni's split on the final leg was 52.37.

The qualifying Blue Devils will travel to Austin, Texas, for the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Championships June 5-8.
