DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Softball finishes up its fall season this weekend with an away game at Campbell Friday night at 6 p.m. before returning home Saturday to host Winthrop in the fall season finale at 2 p.m.
The Blue Devils look to continue their winning ways this weekend, entering the contests at 4-2 through the fall. The fall exhibition season has allowed Team3 to get on the diamond and gain experience before the regular season starts in February.
Duke kicks off its final weekend of the fall season with a short road trip to Buies Creek, N.C. on Friday night to take on Campbell. The Blue Devils hold a 1-1 series record against the Camels with their last meeting being a dominating 9-2 victory last February in Buies Creek.
On Saturday, Duke wraps up fall ball at home, hosting Winthrop. The contest will be the first meeting between the Blue Devils and the Eagles. The game will begin at 2 p.m. and admission is free.
The Blue Devils are coming off a tight loss at UNC Greensboro last Sunday in which the hosts put two across the plate in the bottom of the ninth for the decision, 4-3.
