Looking Ahead to the Blue Devils' Return Home
- Duke returns home for a crucial ACC match against NC State Friday night. The game will be televised on RSN at 7 p.m. The match falls in conjunction with men's basketball's Countdown to Craziness event, therefore parking for fans will be $10 and only available in the jogging trail on Cameron Blvd./751 or the Chemistry Lot on Circuit Drive. Only cash is accepted.
- Thunderstix and vuvuzelas will be available for fans, while Moe's Southwest Grill and Mike D's will be on site with samples for fans.

Series History
- Duke and Elon meet for the 17th time overall and for the 11th time since 2008. The two teams did not play last season after having to reschedule the originally scheduled Duke - UNC contest in place of Blue Devils versus Phoenix.
- The Blue Devils have won three straight against the Phoenix. The lone loss to Elon came in 2014, a 2-1 setback at Rudd Field.

Breaking Down the Blue Devils
- Duke travels to Elon for a midweek road match. The Blue Devils aim to rebound after a 1-0 loss at Notre Dame after going unbeaten in the three prior outings. Overall, Duke is 6-4-1 and 2-3-0 in the ACC.
- Senior Daniele Proch is the headliner on offense with eight goals and 19 points overall. He is seven shy of his total of 26 points last season after 11 games. Classmate Brandon Williamson has picked up his offensive output recently and has a goal and three assists overall. Max Moser is the top assist provider and tallied his first goal against Syracuse to bring his points total to six for the year. Overall, 10 different Duke players have scored a goal this season.
- Defensively, Duke started the season with shutouts in three of the first four games before allowing 13 goals in the next five outings. Aedan Stanley and Matthias Frick have returned to center back roles in the past four games. In goal, Will Pulisic has an ACC-best 45 saves, four shutouts and a 1.25 goals against average.

- Duke is playing its 77th midweek game under head coach John Kerr and first of this season. The Blue Devils are 46-21-9 in games played Monday through Thursday for a .664 win percentage.
- The Blue Devils have gone unbeaten in weekday games twice, going 5-0-2 in 2011 and 5-0-1 in 2018.

Pinto Returns to Stomping Grounds
- Duke graduate student Hassan Pinto returns to his former stomping grounds Tuesday night. Pinto joined the Blue Devils as a fifth-year senior after a strong career with the Phoenix.Â
- The Durham native started 47 of his 48 games played on defense. He amassed 4,401 minutes for the Phoenix before graduating this past May.
- Pinto is pursuing his master's degree at Duke's Fuqua School Business as he helps anchor the Blue Devil backline with his final year of athletic eligibility.

About Elon
- Elon returns home after a two-game road stretch. The Phoenix are coming off of a 2-0 win at Liberty to improve to 4-7-1 overall. They are 0-5-0 against conference foes and 2-4-0 at home overall.
- Burl Shepherd is the top scorer with four goals, while Valdimar Jonsson has three goals and an assist for seven points. The Phoenix have 18 goals this season, but are averaging nearly 13 shots per game. Overall, 14 different players have at least one point.
- Defensively, Elon has allowed 23 goals for a 1.87 goals against average. The Phoenix have allowed multiple games in seven games, including six against James Madison. Peter Wentzel and Alex Lorne have shared duties in goal. Wentzel, making seven starts, sports a 2.20 goals against average and a .516 save percentage. Lorne is 2-2-0 with a 1.45 goals against average and .619 save percentage in five starts.

- Duke and Elon have played some tight games over the past eight seasons. Five of the past eight games have gone into overtime and only the 2013 meeting resulted in a multiple-goal win – a 3-0 victory for the Blue Devils. Each of the past two have been 1-0 wins by Duke.
