- Mike Krzyzewski's 37th season as head coach at Duke yielded 28 victories, an historic run to the ACC Tournament title and the program's 22nd consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
- The Blue Devils stormed Brooklyn to win their record 20th ACC Tournament championship by becoming the first team ever to win four games in four days.
- Coach K established ACC records for both tournament wins (61) and tournament titles (14) during the run.
- Duke earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Devils have been a top-three seed an NCAA-best 28 times since 1985, four more than the closest team (Kansas, 24).
- Duke's 22 consecutive NCAA Tournament berths mark the second-longest active streak in the nation and the third-longest streak in NCAA history.
- Coach K, the only men's coach in Division I history to win 1,000 games overall, will enter the 2017-18 season just two wins shy of his 1,000th at Duke. His 998 wins at Duke are the most in NCAA history by a coach at one school.
- Coach K will also enter next season needing 28 wins to surpass the late Pat Summit (1,098) as the all-time wins leader in NCAA Division I basketball.
- The Blue Devils won at least 25 games for the 10th consecutive season. Duke, Gonzaga and Kansas are the only programs in the country with active 25-win streaks of 10 years.
- Duke won a nation's-best 13 games over RPI top-50 teams. Seven of the 13 victories came away from Cameron against ranked teams.
- The Blue Devils finished the year ranked sixth nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency (121.0). Duke is the only program in the country to rank in the top 10 in each of the last nine seasons.
- Duke ranked fourth nationally in three-point field goal percentage defense (.293), the best mark in the country by a major-conference team.
- The Blue Devils made 311 three-pointers in 2016-17, the fourth-best single-season total in program history. It marked the third time in the last four years that Duke sank at least 300 triples.
- Duke shot .762 from the free throw line as a team, tied for the fourth-best mark in program history and the team's best since 1989-90.
- Duke had three 1,000-point scorers on its roster for the 14th time in program history, as Grayson Allen (1,424), Luke Kennard (1,147) and Amile Jefferson (1,079) all reached the milestone in 2016-17.
