Getting to Know Max Moser
The Blue Devils will welcome another international player to the squad in August when Austrian midfielder Max Moser joins the Duke family. He most recently was called up to the U-19 Austrian National Team for a pair of friendlies against Slovenia. Moser played the full 90 in the first game and earned the start in the second one before coming off in the 46th minute.
Take a few minutes to learn more about Max in both his experiences on and off the field.
Before Duke: Played youth soccer with Academy Vorarlbert for four seasons … Most recently is a member of SC Austria Lustenau, a club in the second highest league in Austria … Has seen action on both the first and second teams … Is the youngest player to join the club and declined a professional contract to join Duke … Debuted on the first team in October 2015 … A starter for Academy Vorarlberg over the course of his four seasons … Missed just 175 minutes overall in four seasons … This season he has started two games for the SC Austria Lustenau first team and played in three games overall … Went the full 90 in nine games for the second team and scored two goals as right back … An excellent student and won an accolade for one of the best pre-scientific papers in Austria.
Personal: Son of Armin and Rebekka Moser … Has one sister, Emilie … Born February 21, 1997 in Bregenz, Austria.

· I played several international youth tournaments with European top clubs like FC Zürich, St. Gallen, Borussia Dortmund, VFB Stuttgart, Red Bull Salzburg, Austria Wien, Rapid Wien…
· Also top games with Austria Lustenau against teams like FC Basel (Champions League participant), St Pauli (2.Bundesliga Germany), FC St. Gallen, Heidenheim (2. German Bundesliga ) and others.
· One of the best players I ever played against was Walter Samuel (Argentinian National team player who played in the World Cup 2002 /2010 and also for Real Madrid, AS Roma, Inter Milan…)
· The biggest two stadiums I ever played in: Tivoli Stadion Tirol (capacity 17.400) and Wörtherseestadion Klagenfurt (32.000)
