DURHAM, N.C. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2025 Men's Soccer Academic All-America teams, awarding three Duke men's soccer student-athletes with the recognition.Â
Senior
Kamran Acito and graduate
Alessandro Arlotti were named to the first team, while junior
Ulfur Bjornsson earned third-team honors.
Acito, a native of Manhattan, N.Y., played just under 1,700 minutes for the Blue Devils this season and was also picked as a Second Team All-ACC and First Team All-South Region honoree. The defender logged nearly 6,400 minutes during his four-year career for Duke and finished his career with one goal and five assists for a total of seven points. Acito tallied three helpers during the 2025 campaign and finished with three points for the season, the most in a single season for him.
Arlotti arrived in Durham after transferring from Harvard and finished the season tied for the team lead in assists (five), while also registering the second-most goals (seven) and points (19) for the season. A native of Sanremo, Italy, Arlotti was a Third Team Academic All-America selection while at Harvard and was named a John Harvard Scholar during his final year with the Crimson.
Bjornsson earns his second consecutive Academic All-America selection, after being named to the second team last season. The striker started in 14 of his 17 appearances this season, scoring five goals and tallying four assists for a total of 14 points. The Icelandic native has finished with double-digit points in all three of his seasons as a Blue Devil and was also a Second Team All-ACC selection in 2025.
Kenan Hot and
Trevor Burns rounded out Duke's representation on CSC's academic teams, with both midfielders selected as Academic All-District honorees for the 2025 season.
