DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men's soccer team placed nine players on the 2024 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Blue Devils' nine selections were
Kamran Acito,
Ulfur Bjornsson,
Nikolai Ronaldo Bull Jorgensen,
Kenan Hot,
Jamie Kabuusu,
Drew Kerr,
Jose Ortega,
Julius Suber and
Thomas Vold.
Acito, Hot and Kerr all earned their fourth consecutive All-ACC Academic Team honor, while Bjornsson, Bull Jorgensen, Kabuusu, Ortega and Suber all picked up their second recognition in as many years.
Virginia's Umberto Pela was named the 2025 ACC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a 3.0-grade point average for the previous two semesters and 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career, while being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and being classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's athletic contests.
