As a Team
• Duke opened the season with back-to-back victories for the 33rd time under head coach Mike Krzyzewski and the 69th time in program history.
• Duke used the starting lineup of Grayson Allen, Matt Jones, Chase Jeter, Amile Jefferson and Luke Kennard for the second time this season and owns a 2-0 record with those five players on the floor to start the game.
• After scoring 94 points against Marist and 96 against Grand Canyon, the Blue Devils posted back-to-back games with 90-or-more points for the first time since facing Elon (105 points - Dec. 28, 2015) and Long Beach State (103 points - Dec. 30, 2015).
Coach Krzyzewski's Numbers
• The result moved Krzyzewski's all-time record to 1,045-321 and his record at Duke to 972-262.
• A Krzyzewski-led Duke team moved to 1-0 all-time when facing Grand Canyon.
Blue Devils on the Glass
• Duke outrebounded Grand Canyon, 39-31, and improved to 623-69 all-time when hauling in more boards than its opponent under Krzyzewski.
Duke's Offensive Output
• Five Blue Devils, including Luke Kennard (14), Frank Jackson (21), Matt Jones (11), Grayson Allen (25) and Amile Jefferson (15), registered double-digit points. Jackson's 21 points marked the first 20-point scoring game of his career.
• Allen posted his second double-digit scoring game of the season and his 27th straight such game, including contests from last year. Allen's double-digit scoring streak began Dec. 28, 2015, when Duke faced Elon.
• Duke improved to 32-9 when Allen scores double-digit points and 17-4 when he nets 20-or-more.
• In addition to Allen's 25 points, he also brought down 10 rebounds, marking his third career double-double.
• Duke overcame its largest deficit of the season, six points, in the contest.
• Luke Kennard dished six assists, a career high.
• The Blue Devils scored 40 points in the paint against Grand Canyon, bringing their season total to 78 points scored in the lane. Forty-one percent of Duke's points have come in the paint this season.
Duke on the Defensive End
• Duke forced Grand Canyon into committing 21 turnovers, the second consecutive game a Blue Devil opponent recorded at least 10 miscues.
• Amile Jefferson led the team with five blocks. Jefferson also posted three blocks against Marist, marking the first time in his career he recorded consecutive games with three-or-more blocks.
• Jefferson also matched his career high in steals, with three.
• Chase Jeter recorded two-or-more blocks in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. Jeter's three blocks in the contest are a career high.
• Jeter also recorded a career high in steals, with three.
Fresh Faces
• Frank Jackson posted his second consecutive double-digit scoring game, netting 21 points. Jackson led all rookie Blue Devil scorers for the second time this season, as well.
