Marshall Plumlee recorded his fifth career double-double, and his second in four games, after netting 19 points on 7-of-11 (.636) shooting and bringing down a career-high 17 rebounds, including a career-best 11 boards on the offensive end. Plumlee also shot 5-of-8 (.628) from the free throw line, and is shooting 19-of-25 (.760) from the charity stripe over the last five games.
• Plumlee led the Blue Devils in scoring for the second time this season and are 1-1 when he serves as the team's leading scorer.
Duke's Defense• Duke allowed Syracuse to shoot just 10-of-32 (.313) from the field in the first half, tied for the third-lowest first-half field goal percentage by a Duke opponent this year.
• The Blue Devils sent Syracuse to the line just eight times, the second-fewest free throw attempts by a Duke opponent this season.
• Syracuse made 11 three pointers, just the third game this season a Duke opponent made over 10 three-point field goals.
