Five Blue Devils Named to All-ACC Academic Team

DURHAM, N.C. -- For the first time in program history, Duke placed five team members on the All-ACC Academic Men's Basketball Team, as announced by ACC commissioner John Swofford Thursday. Junior Amile Jefferson earned academic honors for the third time in his college career, while fellow junior Marshall Plumlee and freshmen Grayson Allen, Tyus Jones and Justise Winslow were each first time honorees for the Blue Devils.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must earn a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintain a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career. Duke has now had 85 All-ACC Academic Team selections since the inaugural team in 1962-63.

Duke placed the second most number of players on the all-academic team, while Louisville led the conference with seven players recognized for their academic achievements.
