DURHAM, N.C. -- Recently, GoDuke.com sat down with senior Hannah Goranson to learn more about the Los Altos, Calif., native.
GoDuke.com: Name your three favorite things about being a student-athlete at Duke:
Hannah Goranson: Having the opportunity to compete at a top university, having the support of the athletics staff and the professors – they have been great, and being a part of the Duke athletic community.
GoDuke.com: What is your favorite competition-related memory?
HG: I think competing at the ACC meet two weeks ago, and making the final for the first time and scoring a point for Duke.
GoDuke.com: What is your favorite memory away from competition?
HG: I think being a part of the different organizations on campus like CRU and Business Oriented Women – those have been great.
GoDuke.com: Name three of your favorite restaurants in the Durham area.
HG: Chubby's Tacos, Nosh, and Parker & Otis
GoDuke.com: How would you describe yourself in three words?
HG: Enthusiastic, friendly, motivated
GoDuke.com: Name three places in the world you'd like to travel.
HG: Spain, somewhere tropical like the Caribbean, and somewhere in Asia – I've never been there before.
GoDuke.com: If you could have dinner with any three people, who would those be?
HG: Jesus, Abraham Lincoln, Eleanor Roosevelt – some prominent female leader
GoDuke.com: What are three foods you cannot live without?
HG: Coffee, Greek yogurt, Mexican food
GoDuke.com: What are three things that motivate you to perform?
HG: My teammates, my competitive nature, and my love for hurdling in general.
