DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke men's lacrosse team will face off against Virginia Friday April 12 at 6:00 p.m., in Koskinen Stadium. Recently, GoDuke.com sat down with senior defender Spencer Peterson to learn more about the Encinitas, Calif., native.
GoDuke.com: What is your favorite restaurant in Durham?
Spencer Peterson: It's tough. There are so many good ones. If I had to choose between one restaurant I would choose Watt's Grocery. A very good place to go.
GoDuke.com: What is on your DVR?
SP: I don't have a DVR, but I would DVR the latest episode of Tosh.O.
GoDuke.com: What is your favorite spot on campus?
SP: It's got to be, I'd say the lacrosse field.
GoDuke.com: When you were young what did you want to be when you grew up?
SP: I'm pretty sure I said I wanted to be an astronaut. Pretty standard.
GoDuke.com: What has been your favorite class at Duke?
SP: My senior capstone seminar in MMS this year. It's like an entrepreneurial course that is really cool.
GoDuke.com: What's been the most difficult course at Duke?
SP: The most difficult course definitely was calculus.
GoDuke.com: What was your favorite food to eat as a kid?
SP: Mexican food. California burritos.
GoDuke.com: If you could describe Coach Danowski in a word, what would it be?
SP: He's a winner.
GoDuke.com: Who would you trade places with for a day?
SP: I would want to be Shaun White for a day and shred the halfpipe.
GoDuke.com: What is your favorite spot to go snowboarding?
SP: It's got to be Mammoth Mountain in California. It's in the Sierra Nevadas. I haven't been in a long time obviously, but that's one of the things I'm looking forward to after this season for sure.
