Brodeur was also recognized for earning All-Southeast Region honors for the second consecutive season. The Brick, N.J., native posted a 22nd-place finish at this year's Southeast Regional in Louisville, Ky., while leading Duke to a sixth-place showing overall. In addition, Brodeur's standout senior campaign also included All-ACC accolades with an 11th-place performance at the conference meet.
A product of New Vernon, N.J., Pearson was Duke's top finisher in two meets on the season and was named the ACC Performer of the Week on Sept. 13 after leading the field at the James Madison Invitational. The Duke rookie was also the team's second finisher at the Roy Griak Invitational, clocking 24:58 for 8K, and was a scorer for the Blue Devils in their tied for fourth-place showing at the ACC Championships.
As a team the Blue Devils concluded the season with an overall record of 64-20-1 and 11-10-1 in ACC competition. The squad registered three wins on the year, including a first-place showing at the Great American Cross Country Festival on Sept. 30, and finished the season ranked fifth in the Southeast Region.
