Team Notes:
- With today's victory over UNC Greensboro, Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski moved past former North Carolina head coach Dean Smith into second on the NCAA career victories list. The win gave Krzyzewski 880 career wins with 807 of those coming with the Blue Devils.
- The Blue Devils have won 22 straight games dating back to last season and have started 12-0 for the ninth time under Krzyzewski. The 22 consecutive wins are tied for the fourth most in school history.
- Duke improved to 9-0 all-time against UNC Greensboro with three of those victories coming at the Greensboro Coliseum. The Blue Devils have now won 12 straight games in the Greensboro Coliseum since a loss to Maryland in the 2004 ACC Championship game. Coach K is 39-9 all-time in the Greensboro Coliseum.
- The 108 points were the second most scored by Duke this season and second time they have scored over 100 points. The Blue Devils have a 106-2 record all-time under Coach K when scored at least 100 points.
- The 46-point victory was the second largest for the Blue Devils this season as they have won by 40 or more twice and at least 20 points in eight of the 11 outings.
- In the first half, Duke scored a season-high 53 points. They are averaging 51 points in the first half over the last two games. It is the sixth time this season the Blue Devils have scored 50 or more points in a half and first time they have done it before halftime. They have scored over 50 points in the second half in five games this season, including this game. It is the first time they have scored 50 or more in both halves of a game.
- The Blue Devils managed season highs in made field goals (39), field goal percentage (.609), fewest turnovers (7) and steals (13).
- It is the sixth time Duke has made 10 or more three-point field goals in a game this season.
- The field goal percentage was the highest since Duke shot 60 percent against Pennsylvania on Dec. 31, 2009.
- The Blue Devils have committed fewer than 10 turnovers in four games this season with under 10 in three of the last four contests.
- This is the sixth game Duke has dished out 20 or more assists.
- The 13 steals are tied for the most in one game this year with the Colgate contest. It is the eighth time Duke has recorded 10 or more steals.
- A season-high six different Duke players scored in double figures. It is the fifth game that at least five players have scored 10 or more points. All five Duke starters reached double digits.
- Two different Duke players scored at least 20 points, marking the third straight game that has occurred and fourth time in the last five outings.
- The 21-point halftime lead marked the third time this season the Blue Devils have led by 20 or more points at the break.
- In the second half, the Blue Devils shot 72.4 percent (21-of-29), marking the fourth time they have shot over 60 percent in the second half this year. Duke shot 51 percent in the first half to mark the third time this year they have shot at least 50 percent in the first period.
- The Blue Devils opened the game on a 15-2 run over the first 4:15 of the game. Duke shot 75 percent (6-of-8) during the run while holding UNC Greensboro to 14 percent (1-of-7).
Player Notes:
Seth Curry
- Sophomore Seth Curry started for the second straight game after coming off the bench in the first 10 games of the season.
- Curry reached double figures in points for the sixth time this year with 15 points. His five made field goals were a season high.
- He made three three-point field goals to match a season best, his fourth game with three treys.
- The two steals give Curry four games with two or more.
Andre Dawkins
- Sophomore Andre Dawkins scored at least 10 points for the eighth time this season with 11 off the bench. He led the ACC with 12.0 points per game off the bench entering the contest.
Ryan Kelly
- Sophomore Ryan Kelly earned his eighth start of the year. He had served as a reserve in the previous three games.
- The 10 points gave Kelly double figures in scoring for the second straight game. He matched a career high with four made field goals.
- Kelly matched a career high with four blocked shots. He had recorded four blocks in two career games prior to Wednesday's contest, including the Saint Louis game earlier this season and the Gonzaga contest last year.
- He also tied a career best with two steals, the fifth time in his two seasons he has recorded a multi-steal game.
Mason Plumlee
- Sophomore Miles Plumlee came off the bench for the first time this season after starting the first 11 contests.
- He had four assists to match a career high. He also had four assists against Princeton in the season opener.
- The two steals give him five games with two or more.
Miles Plumlee
- Junior Miles Plumlee picked up his fourth consecutive start and fifth of the year.
- Plumlee had three dunks to give him 13 on the season. He finished with 11 points for his second double figure scoring game this season and ninth of his career.
- The two steals marked the fourth time this season he has had two or more, including three straight contests.
Kyle Singler
- Senior Kyle Singler drew his team-leading 80th consecutive start and has now started in 122 of his 123 career games. The 122 career starts ranks 10th on Duke's all-time list.
- Singler finished with 25 points for his third consecutive game with 20 or more points. He has four 20-point games this season and 36 in his career.
- With his 25 points he moves past Trajan Langdon in 13th on Duke's career scoring list with 1,979 career points.
- The 10 made field goals matches a career high, the fourth time he has made 10 shots in a game.
- He made four three-point field goals to give him four games this season with three or more treys.
- He dished out his 250th career assist in the game. He finished with two assists to give him 251 in his career.
Nolan Smith
- Senior Nolan Smith scored 26 points for his third straight game with 20 or more and fourth in the last five games. He has five 20-point games this season and 22 in his career.
- Smith made his first four field goal attempts, including two three-point field goals. He scored 13 of Duke's first 23 points in the game.
- The three made three-point field goals were a season high for Smith.
- He had nine assists and zero turnovers. It was his eighth game this year with five or more assists and first game with no turnovers. It is the second time this season a Blue Devil has had nine assists with no turnovers with the other being Kyrie Irving against Colgate.
- The three steals in the game for Smith were a season high and fourth multi-steal game of the year.
- He also had his seventh game with at least five rebounds and now has tallied at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists twice this season.
Tyler Thornton
- Freshman Tyler Thornton had four assists with zero turnovers. The four assists tie his previous high of four against Saint Louis. He now has 15 assists and seven turnovers on the year.
