The Blue Devils have won 12 straight games at Cameron Indoor Stadium and have claimed victories in 42 of its last 44 home games. Duke has also won 37 consecutive home games against unranked opponents.
Duke picked up its 10th home win of the season, extending its streak of 10-win seasons at home to 15 straight. It is the 41st time in school history the Blue Devils tallied 10 home wins in a year.
Four Duke players scored in double figures, the 11th time in 16 games the Blue Devils have had at least four players score 10 or more points.
For the third time this year, two Duke players recorded 10 or more rebounds in the same game. They also had two players with at least 10 rebounds against Charlotte and Connecticut. The Blue Devils held a 40-27 advantage on the glass, improving to 13-0 on the season when outrebounding its opposition.
Duke shot .815 (22-of-27) from the free throw line, the ninth time on the year they shot 80 percent or better from the foul line. It is the fifth time on the season Duke made at least 20 free throws.
The Blue Devils held Boston College to 59 points and have now held opponents to under 60 points in eight games this year.
Boston College shot just 1-of-10 (.100) from behind the three-point line, becoming the fifth Duke opponent to shoot under 20 percent from deep this year. It is the third time an opponent made only one trey or less.
Duke also managed only one made three-point field goal, shooting .083 (1-of-12) from beyond the arc. The last time the Blue Devils made only one trey was Dec. 31, 2008 against Loyola. Duke also made just 1-of-12 in that game.
The Blue Devils started the second half with a 16-2 run in the first 4:15 minutes to take a 54-37 lead. Duke scored the first eight points of the half and held Boston College to 0-of-5 shooting and four turnovers during the run.
Junior Nolan Smith matched a career high with 24 points to give him seven games this season and eight in his career with at least 20 points. He notched his 13th double figure scoring game this season and 36th of his career.
Smith also had 24 points against Charlotte and Gonzaga earlier this season.
The six made free throws matched Smith's previous best, the fourth time in his career he has made six free throws in a game, including two times this season.
The three steals by Smith matched a career high, the seventh time in his career he has recorded three steals and third time this season.
Smith also had four assists giving him 10 games with at least three assists on the year.
Senior Brian Zoubek grabbed 11 rebounds for his fourth double figure rebounding game of the year and sixth of his career. It is the second time this season he has recorded double digit rebounds despite playing less than 20 minutes. He had 13 rebounds against Gardner-Webb in 16 minutes of action.
Zoubek had five offensive rebounds in the game and is averaging 3.6 offensive rebounds per game off the bench this season and 7.3 overall rebounds per game.
