Team Notes:
- The Blue Devils finish the decade (Jan. 1, 2000 to Dec. 31, 2009) with a record of 294-59 for a winning percentage of .833. The 294 wins are the most by any program in NCAA Division I for a single decade.
- Duke extended its home winning streak over non-conference opponents to 76 straight games. It is the longest streak in the country with the last loss coming against St. John's on Feb. 26, 2000. The Blue Devils have won 36 straight home games against unranked opponents.
- The Blue Devils have won 49 consecutive home games in the month of December dating back to a 62-61 loss to Michigan on Dec. 8, 1996. Under Coach K, Duke owns a 160-26 record in the month of December.
- Duke scored over 100 points for the fourth time this season with a season-high 114 points. The Blue Devils are 170-5 all-time when scoring at least 100 points in a game.
- Of the 21 made field goals in the first half, Duke recorded assists on 14 buckets. It is the second straight game the Blue Devils have had assists on over 65 percent of its made baskets in the opening stanza. For the game Duke had assists on 24 of its 36 made field goals, a percentage of .667.
- The Blue Devils notched its fourth game with two 20-point scorers this season.
- Five players finished with 10 or more points, marking the seventh game this season Duke has had five or more players score in double figures.
- The 36 field goals give the Blue Devils five games with at least 35 made field goals this year. Duke shot 60 percent from the field, the second time this year they shot at least 60 percent from the field (Gardner-Webb, .652).
- For the fifth time on the year, Duke made at least 10 three-point field goals.
- The 32 made free throws were a season high, nearly doubling the previous best of 20 against Coastal Carolina and Connecticut. The 40 free throw attempts were 14 more than the previous high of 26 against Gardner-Webb. It was the sixth game this year the Blue Devils have shot 80 percent or better from the foul line.
- Duke held a 43-25 rebounding advantage and are now 10-0 on the season when outrebounding its opponent. Overall this season the Blue Devils have a +8.5 rebounding margin per game.
- The 24 assists in the game mark the fifth time overall and third time in the last four games Duke has had 20 or more assists.
- The Blue Devils forced 21 turnovers, the second time this season they have caused 20 or more.
- Duke recorded a season-high 13 steals, four more than the previous best of nine against Gardner-Webb.
- The Blue Devils had a season-high 40 points off the bench. It is the fourth time the bench has produced 30 or more points.
Player Notes:
Andre Dawkins
- Freshman Andre Dawkins scored in double figures for the sixth time this season.
- Dawkins was a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line, a season-high for made foul shots. He is now 16-of-19 (.842) from the free throw line on the season.
- Freshman Mason Plumlee reached double figures in scoring for the first time in his career with 18 points. The 18 points tripled his previous high for the year, six against Gardner-Webb.
- Plumlee also pulled down seven rebounds, more than double his previous high of three against Gonzaga.
- Plumlee had four steals after recording just one steal in his first five career games.
- Miles Plumlee pulled down 10 rebounds for his third double digit rebound performance of the season.
- Senior Jon Scheyer has scored in double figures in all 12 games this season and has 88 career games with 10 or more points.
- Scheyer shot 8-of-8 from the free throw line in the game to give him five games this season with five or more attempts without a miss. He is shooting .910 (61-of-67) from the foul line on the season.
- Scheyer set a career high with 11 assists. He matched his previous career high of nine against Gardner-Webb in the first half. It is the 10th time in 12 games he has recorded at least five assists. He has at least seven assists in each of his last four outings.
- The four turnovers for Scheyer were a season high. He had committed only 10 turnovers in his first 11 games this season.
- Junior Kyle Singler extended his consecutive starts streak to 39 games and has now started in 82 career contests.
- Singler tallied his fourth game with at least 20 points and 19th career game. He posted his 10th double figure scoring game of the season and 69th of his career.
- Singler has grabbed at least five rebounds in 11 of the 12 contests this season.
- The five assists marked the third game this year Singler has dished out five or more assists.
- Junior Nolan Smith posted his team-leading fourth game with 20 or more points. He has scored at least 10 points in all 10 games he has played in this season and now has 33 career double figure scoring games.
- The four three-point field goals for Smith match a career high and mark the second straight game and third this season he has made four treys.
- Smith had two steals in the game to give him three games this season with at least two steals.
- Senior Brian Zoubek made 4-of-5 field goals in the game and is shooting .870 (20-of-23) from the field in his last five games.
- With six rebounds Zoubek has tallied at least five rebounds in 10 of the 12 games off the bench this season, leading the team with 92 overall rebounds.
