DURHAM, N.C. - After finishing second in the ACC with a 27-5 overall record and a 17-3 conference mark, the Duke volleyball team will learn its NCAA Tournament assignment this Sunday, Nov. 29, during the NCAA Division I Volleyball Selection Show at 3 p.m. on ESPNews.
Duke has made the tournament in each of the past four seasons and finished the season ranked No. 27 in the NCAA's final regular season RPI release. The Blue Devils ended the season on a six-match winning streak for their fourth consecutive 25-win season. That 25-win streak is the longest in school history.
Duke head coach Jolene Nagel and associate head coach John Wasielewski have led Duke to seven NCAA Tournament berths in their 11 seasons at Duke. Duke has advanced out of the first round in five of those trips, including each of the past four seasons.
Check back on GoDuke.com on Sunday to find out where Duke will open the 2009 tournament. The tournament bracket will also be posted on Sunday afternoon at www.NCAA.com.
