No. 2-ranked Duke defeated Florida State 66-58 on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at the Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee, Fla. to improve to 14-1 on the season.
A Winning Tradition
? Duke has now won 1,861 games all-time, the fourth-highest victory total in NCAA history.
? The Blue Devils have won 275 games this decade, the most wins in a decade by the program. The win total is the fifth-most in any decade by a team in NCAA history.
? Duke has also already won more ACC regular season games this decade than any school in league history. The Blue Devils have earned 113 ACC victories during the regular season. The previous best was 110 victories by North Carolina from 1980-89. Duke's previous best was 109 wins from 1990-99.

Duke vs. Florida State Series

Krzyzewski Climbs Victory Ladder
? Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski earned his 817th victory as a head coach on Wednesday. He ranks fifth all-time in NCAA Division I history for career victories and is first among active coaches.
? Krzyzewski is now 13 victories shy of Jim Phelan for fourth all-time.
? Coach K now has 744 wins as the head coach at Duke, ranking him sixth in NCAA Division I history for victories at one school and second among active coaches (Jim Boeheim, Syracuse ? 784). Krzyzewski is 15 wins shy of Western Kentucky's Ed Diddle for fifth all-time.
? Krzyzewski's 817 victories are the second most by a head coach through 34 years of coaching. Only Dean Smith of North Carolina won more games with 830 victories.
1,000 Career Points
? Duke has 57 players in its school history who have scored at least 1,000 points in their career, including current players Greg Paulus and Jon Scheyer. The 57 players with 1,000 career points give the Blue Devils the third most 1,000-point scorers of any school in Division I behind North Carolina (62) and Louisville (59).
? Senior Greg Paulus currently ranks 49th on the school's all-time list with 1,083 career points. Junior Jon Scheyer is 56th all-time with 1,009 career points.

Offensive Notes
? Duke scored a season-low 66 points against the Seminoles on Saturday. The previous low was 69 points against Virginia Tech. The Blue Devils also scored a season-low three bench points in the game.
? The 19 points in the first half by the Blue Devils was a season low. The previous low was 29 points against Southern Illinois on Nov. 20 in the semifinal game of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. Duke shot just 5-of-20 (.250) from the field and 2-of-6 (.333) from the three-point line.
? The 33 combined points between the two teams in the first half tied for the lowest point totals between two teams under Coach K. Duke trailed 20-13 at halftime to Virginia on Jan. 30, 1982 and the Blue Devils led Clemson 20-13 on Jan. 23, 1982. It was the first time neither team hit 20 points since Duke led North Carolina 7-0 at the half on Feb. 24, 1979.
? Duke turned things around, shooting .591 (13-of-22) in the second half, including 3-of-6 (.500) from the three-point line.
? The 18 made field goals by Duke matched a season low. They also had 18 made field goals against Southern Illinois.

Defensive Notes
? The Blue Devils held Florida State to 58 points, marking the ninth time this season they have allowed fewer than 60 points in a game.
? For the second straight ACC game, Duke held an opponent to less than 15 points in a half. With the 13 points allowed in the second half of the Virginia Tech game and the 14 points in the first half of the Florida State game combined, the Blue Devils have only allowed 27 points in the last 40 minutes of play.
? The 14 points allowed in the first half were the lowest by a Duke team before halftime since they held Clemson to 13 points on Jan. 23, 1982. It was also the lowest allowed in a first half this season. The previous low was 22 against Presbyterian on Nov. 10.
? The Seminoles shot just .206 (7-of-34) from the field and were held without a three-point field goal (0-for-6) in the first half against Duke.
? For the game Florida State shot .310 (22-of-71) from the floor and .176 (3-of-17) from behind the three point line. They have held nine opponents to less than 40 percent shooting and six opponents to under 20 percent from long range.
? With only three made treys, Florida State became the sixth Duke opponent this season to make three or fewer three-point field goals.

Gerald Henderson
? Junior Gerald Henderson finished the game with a career-high 25 points on 9-of-14 from the field, 3-of-4 from the three-point line and 4-of-6 from the foul line. He also had five rebounds and three steals in the game.
? He reached double figures in scoring for the seventh straight game and 11th time this year. He has 43 career double-figure scoring games.
? Henderson recorded his second 20 point-game of the season with a career-high 25 points. He now has six career 20-point games. His previous best was 23 points against Illinois and Maryland last season.
? Henderson scored 11 of Duke's first 12 points in the game. He was 3-of-4 from the field, 1-of-1 from the three-point line and 4-of-4 from the foul line in the first 12:24 minutes of the contest. He ended up with 14 of the Blue Devils' 19 first half points.
? Henderson pulled down five rebounds to give him 11 games with three or more boards this season. He has 55 career games with at least three rebounds. He has five or more rebounds in each of his last three games and in six games this season.
? With three steals Henderson matched a season high. He also had three steals against Loyola on Dec. 31. He now has at least one steal in 13 of the 15 games on the year.
? Henderson also played a season-high 34 minutes, topping his 33 minutes played against Xavier on Dec. 20.
David McClure
? Senior David McClure dished pulled down six rebounds in the contest. He has 11 games with three or more rebounds this season and has five or more rebounds in three of his last four games.
? McClure also blocked a shot in the game to give him at least one blocked shot in seven games.
Jon Scheyer
? Junior Jon Scheyer played a season-high 38 minutes and finished with nine points, two rebounds, three assists and one steal.
? Scheyer dished out three assists to give him seven games with at least three assists this season and 33 career games.
Kyle Singler

Nolan Smith
? Sophomore Nolan Smith reached double figures in scoring for the 11th time this season. He finished the game with 12 points. He only had six games with 10 or more points as a freshman.
? Smith was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line and is now shooting .923 (36-of-39) on the season. He has been perfect from the line in 10 games this season. His 6-of-6 performance matches his best of the season, as he went 6-for-6 against Southern Illinois.
? With four rebounds Smith has recorded three or more rebounds in seven games this season and in 14 career games.
? Smith tallied two steals, the seventh time this season he has posted two or more steals in a game.
Brian Zoubek
? Junior Brian Zoubek blocked a shot for the fifth straight game. He has blocked at least one shot in 11 of the 15 games this season, including 11 of his 13 starts.
